UW-La Crosse Places 13th at NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship

NCAA Swimming and DivingOxford, Ohio--University of Wisconsin-La Crosse placed 13th at the NCAA Division III Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship held March 13-15 at Miami University.  The national meet was hosted by the College of Wooster (Ohio).

The Eagles totaled 75 team points to record the highest team finish since a fifth-place standing in 2004.

Kenyon College (Ohio) won the 22nd national championship in program history after totaling 566.50 team points.  Amherst College (Mass.) placed second with 341 points, Denison University (Ohio) third with 328 points, Emory University (Ga.) fourth with 288 points and Williams College (Mass.) fifth with 269.50 points.

The top eight finishers in each event claimed All-America honors, while places 9-16 earned honorable mention All-America status.

100-Yard Backstroke:  Chelsea Hoff (UW-La Crosse-2nd), Kristi Parker (UW-La Crosse-11th)

One-Meter Diving:  Amanda Medendorp (UW-La Crosse-8th)

200-Yard Freestyle Relay:  UW-La Crosse (Chelsea Hoff, Brianna Peyer, Danielle Rux, Clare Hathaway-14th)

200-Yard Medley Relay:  UW-La Crosse (Kristi Parker, Brianna Peyer, Chelsea Hoff, Clare Hathaway-13th)

400-Yard Medley Relay:  UW-La Crosse (Kristi Parker, Brianna Peyer, Chelsea Hoff, Clare Hathaway-13th)

400-Yard Freestyle Relay:  UW-La Crosse (Chelsea Hoff, Brianna Peyer, Danielle Rux, Clare Hathaway-14th)
