Week of Jan. 29 - Feb. 4
Swimming
Lindsay Googins, Junior (Eagan, Minn.), of UW-Stevens Point
Googins helped UW-Stevens Point cruise to a 209-110 win over Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.) on Jan. 3.  She won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:58.74 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:18.13.

Diving
Sarah Myers, Junior (Eau Claire/North), of UW-Eau Claire
Myers won the one-meter and three-meter diving events as the Blugolds defeated UW-Oshkosh, 173-64, in dual meet competition on Feb. 3.  She won the meter with a score of 214.45 and the three-meter with a mark of 205.10.

Week of Jan. 22 - 28
Swimming
Kristen Bennett, Sophomore (De Pere/Ashwaubenon), of UW-Stevens Point
Bennett finished first in the 200-meter breaststroke (2:26.85) in UW-Stevens Point’s 136-107 victory over UW-La Crosse on Jan. 27.  Her time was a NCAA ‘B’ performance and also established a Mitchell Hall pool record.  Bennett added a second-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley (2:14.96).  Both of her times were lifetime bests.

Diving
Amanda Medendorp, Junior (Hartland/Arrowhead), of UW-La Crosse
Medendorp swept the one-meter (252.25) and three-meter (249.70) diving competitions in UW-La Crosse’s dual meet against UW-Stevens Point on Jan. 27.

Week of Jan. 15 - 21
Swimming
Caitlin Hake, Sophomore (Red Wing, Minn.), of UW-Stevens Point
Hake led the Pointers to a first-place finish at the Get to the Point Invite on Jan. 19-20.  She finished first in the 50-yard freestyle (24.64) and took second in the 100-yard freestyle (54.65).  Hake was also a member of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay (1:38.11), the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:38.20), the 200-yard medley relay (1:49.92) and the second-place 400-yard medley relay.

Angela Cascio, Senior (Muskego), of UW-La Crosse
Cascio finished third in the one-meter (382.65 points) and fifth in the three-meter (411.25) event at the Get to the Point Invite on Jan. 19-20.  She qualified for the NCAA Division III championship with her score in the three-meter competition.

Week of Jan. 8 - 14
Swimming
Heather Vogts, Senior (DeForest), of UW-La Crosse
Vogts won the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.68) and was a member of two winning relays in UW-La Crosse’s 196-47 dual meet victory at UW-Oshkosh on Jan. 13.  She was a member of the Eagles’ winning 400-yard medley (4:12.72) and 400-yard freestyle (3:49.65) relays.

Kristina Wanous, Junior (North Mankato, Minn./West), of UW-La Crosse
Wanous won the one-meter (250.85) diving competition and finished second in the three-meter (203.45) event in UW-La Crosse’s 196-47 dual meet victory at UW-Oshkosh on Jan. 13.

Week of Dec. 4 - 10
Swimming
Kristi Parker, Junior (Beaver Dam), of UW-La Crosse
Parker set a Mitchell Hall pool record with her time of 59.27 in the 100-yard backstroke leg of the Eagles’ winning 400-yard medley relay (4:04.67) against UW-Eau Claire on Dec. 9.  She broke the record of 59.46 held by Kelly Halleckson of UW-La Crosse in 1999.  Parker set a NCAA “B” qualifying time with her performance.   She was also on UW-La Crosse’s winning 400-yard freestyle relay (3:43.95).

Maggie Rosier, Junior (Biwabik, Minn./Home School), of UW-Stevens Point
Rosier won the one-meter (222.30) and three-meter (210.25) diving competitions in UW-Stevens Point’s 217-26 victory over UW-Oshkosh on Dec. 8.

Week of Nov. 27 - Dec. 3
Swimming
Jaclyn Blank, Freshman (Byron, Minn.), of UW-Eau Claire
Blank won two events as the Blugolds won the five-team UW-Oshkosh Invitational on Dec. 1-2 in Appleton.  She won the 1,650-yard freestyle in 18:44.60 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:31.08 and was the only double-winner for the Blugolds at the meet.

Myers won the one-meter diving event as the Blugolds won the five-team UW-Oshkosh Invitational on Dec. 1-2 in Appleton.  She posted a score of 370.00 and also placed second in the three-meter event with a mark of 324.20.

Week of Nov. 6 - 12
Swimming
Sara Cannady, Sophomore (Minneapolis, Minn./Jefferson), of UW-River Falls
Cannady had two wins in the Falcons dual meet at Lawrence on Nov. 11.   She placed first in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.95) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:37.09) and was a member of the 400-yard medley relay team that finished second.   Cannady also added a third-place finish in the 400-yard individual medley (5:15.03).

Parker won the 100-yard backstroke (1:00.47) and 200-yard backstroke (2:13.76) at the Northfield Classic at St. Olaf (Minn.) on Nov. 4.

Kristina Wanous, Junior (North Mankato, Minn./West), of UW-La Crosse
Wanous was second in both the one-meter (364.35) and three-meter (420.15) diving competitions at the Northfield Classic at St. Olaf (Minn.) on Nov. 4.  She qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships with her score in the three-meter event.

Week of Oct. 23 - 29
Swimming
Jerica Crook, Senior (Spring Green/River Valley), of UW-Stevens Point
Crook guided the Pointers to a 189-54 win over UW-Eau Claire on Oct. 27 for their 32nd WIAC dual meet victory in 36 tries.  She swam to wins in the 50-yard freestyle (25.37) and the 100-yard freestyle (55.77).  She also won the 200-yard freestyle (2:02.08) and was a member of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team in a dual meet loss to NCAA Division II opponent St. Cloud State (Minn.) on Oct. 28.
