UW-Eau ClaireUW-Eau Claire’s 4x800-Meter Relay Team  - Liz Faller, Senior, Marinette; Laura Broner, Junior, Madison (Memorial); Corinna Saager, Freshman, Wausau (East); Liz Kooistra, Junior, Lakeville, Minn.
Competing at the Drake (IA) Relays, the Blugold quartet recorded a NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 3:51.51.  The time earned them a sixth-place finish at the meet and ranks as the fastest in the conference this season.

Dana ThompsonDana Thompson, Sophomore (Belleville), of UW-Whitewater
Thompson finished first in the discus with a throw of 154-7 at the North Central College (Ill.) Old Fashioned Meet on April 26.  Her performance automatically qualified her for the NCAA Division III Championship, while ranking as the top mark in the conference and second-best distance in the country this season.

Week of April 14 - 20
Track
Marcia TaddyMarcia Taddy, Senior (Two Rivers), of UW-Platteville
Taddy won the 800-meter College Invitational race at the Kansas Relays on April 19 in a school-record time of 2:08.88.  She beat two runners from Minnesota, one from Missouri and one from Seton Hall in her seeded race. Her time was not only a NCAA Division III national qualifying mark but was also a Division I qualifier. Taddy's time would have also placed her fifth in the elite invitational run and was the fifth-best mark during the entire meet, which included 76 competitors in the 800.

Hayley SuckowHayley Suckow, Sophomore (Elk Mound), of UW-Eau Claire
Suckow won the pole vault at the Phil Esten Challenge on April 18 with a height of 11-11 3/4.  Her performance provisionally qualified her for the NCAA Division III Championship, while ranking second on the league’s honor roll and ninth on the NCAA Division III performance list.

Marcia TaddyMarcia Taddy, Senior (Two Rivers), of UW-Platteville
Taddy won the 1,500-meter run at the Nike/Impact Sports UW-Platteville Invitational on April 14 in 4:34.39.  Her time is an NCAA III provisional qualifying mark and is the fastest time in the country this season.

Terri SchwambTerri Schwamb, Senior (Little Chute), of UW-Oshkosh
Schwamb surpassed the automatic qualifying standard in the hammer throw for the NCAA Division III Championship at the Nike/Impact Sports UW-Platteville Invitational on April 13.  A total of 19 athletes competed in the hammer throw, with Schwamb winning the event with a mark of 175-9.

Week of March 31 - April 6
Track
Becca JordahlBecca Jordahl, Junior (Pocatello, Idaho/Century), of UW-River Falls
Jordahl set a school record at the prestigious Stanford University Invitational on April 5.  She finished the 10,000-meter run in 35:43.63, competing against mostly NCAA Division I runners.  Jordahl’s time is currently the best in the NCAA Division III this season and automatically qualified her for the national championship.  She broke the Falcon record of 37:46.24 set by Sandy Cryer in 1982.

Schetter won the long jump (19-3 1/2) and placed third in the triple jump (37-1) at the Wartburg College (Iowa) Select Meet.  She automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship in the long jump and provisionally qualified in the triple jump.

Track

Liz CaineLiz Caine, Junior (Plover/SPASH), of UW-Stevens Point
Caine won all three events that she participated in at the North Central College (Ill.) Invitational.  She won the 100-meter dash in a time of 12.58 and the 200-meter dash in a time of 26.48.  Caine was a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that earned first place with a time of 49.9.

Pam SellbergPam Sellberg, Junior (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center), of UW-Stout
Sellberg set a school record in the pole vault and also reached an NCAA Division III provisional qualifying mark in the first outdoor meet of the season.  She won the event with a mark of 12-5 1/2 at the Washington University (Mo.) Invitational to top the previous school mark of 11-9 set by Chelsea Becker in 2005.
