UW-OshkoshUW-Oshkosh’s Distance Medley Relay Team - Heather Bassett, Freshman, Minocqua (Lakeland); Ayla Mitchell, Junior, New Richmond; Amy Mleziva, Sophomore, New Franken (Luxemburg-Casco); Jessie Scheer, Senior, De Pere
The group took first place at the Pointer Invitational on Feb. 23 with a time of 12:13.34.  The performance surpassed the provisional qualifying standard for the NCAA Division III Championship.

Pam SellbergPam Sellberg, Junior (Brooklyn Park, Minn./Park Center), of UW-Stout
Sellberg set a school record in the pole vault and reached the NCAA Division III provisional qualifying standard at the Pointer Invitational on Feb. 23.  She won the event with a height of 11-10 1/2, breaking the previous school mark of 11-7 by Chelsea Becker in 2005.

Ayla MitchellAyla Mitchell, Junior (New Richmond), of UW-Oshkosh
Mitchell ran fastest mile in the NCAA Division III this season with her effort at UW-Oshkosh Invitational on Feb. 16.  She posted a time of 4:54.98 in the 22-participant race.  Her performance surpassed the automatic qualifying standard for the NCAA Division III Championship.

UW-La CrosseCaitlin Schetter, Junior (Kiel), of UW-La Crosse
Schetter won the long jump (19-3 1/2) and triple jump (38-0 3/4) at the Warhawk Classic on Feb. 16.  She automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship in the long jump and established a school record.  Schetter also provisionally qualified for the national meet with her performance in the triple jump.  UW-La Crosse won the team title at the meet.

Jessica ScottJessica Scott, Junior (Kiel), of UW-Platteville
Scott won the 800-meter run in a NCAA Division III automatic qualifying time of 2:12.21 at the Wartburg College (Iowa) Select on February 9.  Her time ranks as the best in the country this season.  Scott was also a member of the 4x400-meter relay team that posted a provisional qualifying time of 3:58.7.

Becca JordahlBecca Jordahl, Junior (Pocatello, Idaho/Century), of UW-River Falls
Jordahl set a school record at the Minnesota State Open, winning the 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:21.45. Her performance broke the old Falcon record by 38 seconds and was a provisional qualifying time for the NCAA Division III Championship. It was the first time that she had run the race in a collegiate meet.

At UW-Stout’s Warren Bowlus Open on February 2, Morse set a school record in the 20-pound weight throw. Her fling of 51-9 lifted her to a first-place finish and also improved her provisional qualifying mark for the NCAA Division III Championship.

Andrea FabianoAndrea Fabiano, Freshman (Roscoe, Ill./Honanegah), of UW-Oshkosh
Fabiano won the 200-meter dash and finished second in the 55-meter hurdles to lead UW-Oshkosh to a victory in its own pentangular on January 25.  She recorded a time of 26.63 seconds in winning the 200-meter dash and registered a time of 8.54 seconds in placing second in the 55-meter hurdles.  Fabiano’s effort in the 55-meter hurdles surpassed the provisional qualifying standard for the NCAA Division III Championship.

Competing at the UW-Stout Open on January 26, Hasselquist set a school record in the shot put with a toss of 46-4 1/4.  She placed first and the throw was a NCAA provisional qualifying distance. Hasselquist also placed second in the weight throw with a provisional qualifying fling of 49-6 1/2.

Kooistra won the 800-meter run with a NCAA Division III provisional qualifying time of 2:16.35 at the Blugold Open on January 18.  The event featured 25 participants.

Anton won a pair of events at the Impact Sports/Nike UW-Platteville Open on January 19.  She won the long jump (4-7 3/4) and the high jump (16-2 1/2), while adding a second-place finish in the 55-meter hurdles (9.20).

Rosburg placed second in the 600-meter run at the University of Minnesota Northwest Open on January 12 with a time of 1:38.45.

Rebecca MasepholRebecca Masephol, Senior (Pittsville/Auburndale), of UW-Oshkosh
Masephol won the 20-pound weight throw and finished third in the shot put as UW-Oshkosh opened its 2008 season with a 93-57 victory over the University of Chicago (Ill.) on January 12.  She took the top listing in the 20-pound weight throw with a cast of 51-11.  Her performance established the best mark in the NCAA Division III this season and provisionally qualified her for the NCAA Division III Championship.  Masephol had a fifth-place distance of 40-8 1/4 in the shot put.
