Week of Oct. 16 - 22
Rosa Alvarez, Junior (Watertown), of UW-Oshkosh
Alvarez placed second among 32 runners at a five-team meet hosted by UW-Oshkosh on Oct. 20. She ran to a time of 19:28 on the 5,000-meter course to finish behind the winning time of 19:11. In addition to UW-Oshkosh, other schools represented at the meet were UW-Platteville, UW-Stevens Point, UW-Parkside and Cardinal Stritch.

Week of Oct. 9 - 15
Kristen Painter, Senior (Blue Earth, Minn.), of UW-La Crosse
Painter finished third overall at the Tori Neubauer Invitational at Maple Grove Golf Course on Oct. 14. She ran the 6,000-meter course in 21:45.64. A total of 434 runners participated in the meet. UW-La Crosse finished third as a team, behind two NCAA Division I schools.

Week of Oct. 2 - 8
Marcia Taddy, Senior (Two Rivers), of UW-Platteville
Taddy won a competitive 4K race at the ninth annual Dan Huston Invitational at Wartburg (Iowa) on Oct. 7. She came from behind to beat Janet Dobyns of Luther (Iowa) by four seconds, winning in 14:21.

Meagan Herlache, Senior (Green Bay/East), of UW-La Crosse
Herlache finished second overall at the Blugold Open, helping lead UW-La Crosse to the team title. She ran the 6,000-meter course in 22:43.54. A total of 222 runners participated in the race.

Kristen Painter, Senior (Blue Earth, Minn.), of UW-La Crosse
Painter finished second overall out of 278 runners at the Roy Griak Invitational Maroon II Race held at the University of Minnesota's Les Bolstad Golf Course. She ran the 6,000-meter course in 22:47.75. Painter helped lead UW-La Crosse to a third-place finish out of 29 teams.

Jenny Graef, Senior (Lena), of UW-Oshkosh
Graef finished second out of 135 runners at the Calvin (Mich.) Invitational held September 16. She completed the 5,000-meter course in a time of 18:18 to finish second behind the 18:07 time of Calvin's Camille Medema. UW-Oshkosh finished second in the nine-team meet with 88 points.

Kristen Painter, Senior (Blue Earth, Minn.), of UW-La Crosse
Painter won the 35th annual All-American Invitational at Luther (Iowa) on September 9. She ran the 5,000-meter course in a winning time of 18:35. Painter helped lead UW-La Crosse to the team title with 24 points as the squad had nine of the top-13 finishers in the race. A total of 88 runners competed in the event.
