Erin Jasperson, Freshman (Osceola), of UW-Stevens Point
Jasperson finished first out of 25 runners at the UW-Oshkosh Open on October 22. She covered the 5,000-meter course in 19:55 for her first collegiate victory.

Kristen Painter, Sophomore (Blue Earth, Minn.), of UW-La Crosse
Painter finished fifth overall at the Tori Neubauer Invitational with a time of 22:47.9 on the 6,000-meter course. She helped lead the Eagles to a second-place team finish in the 13-team meet.

Week of Oct. 4 - 10
Megan Kielar, Junior (McHenry, Ill./West), of UW-Whitewater
Kielar placed 12th out of 253 runners at the Border Wars Classic in Edwardsville, Ind. on Saturday, October 9. Her time of 18:45 is a lifetime best and is the top time by a UW-Whitewater runner this season, while ranking 12th on the school's all-time list of 5,000-meter cross country times. Kielar was the top NCAA Division III runner in the race.

Week of Sept. 27 - Oct. 3
Liz Woodworth, Senior (Marinette), of UW-Oshkosh
Woodworth ran to a first-place finish in the Gold Race of the Notre Dame (Ind.) Invitational held October 1. She completed the 5,000-meter course in a time of 17:10 to coast to her second straight Notre Dame Invitational title. Emily Schnitkey of NCAA Division I Youngstown State (Ohio) finished second in a time of 18:05. UW-Oshkosh captured team honors with 119 points.

Week of Sept. 20 - 26
Megan Craig, Senior (Bangor), of UW-Stevens Point
Craig won the Roy Griak Maroon II Race at the University of Minnesota on September 25 in a time of 22:20 over the 6K distance. The race featured mostly NCAA Division II and NAIA scholarship schools. Craig finished 12 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher and led the race from start to finish. UW-Stevens Point placed third in the 18-team race with 98 points.

Week of Sept. 13 - 19
Liz Woodworth, Senior (Marinette), of UW-Oshkosh
Woodworth captured the individual title as UW-Oshkosh finished third in the team standings at the Midwest Collegiate Championship held September 18 in Kenosha. She completed the 5,000-meter course in a time of 17:37 to finish 12 seconds ahead of the second-place runner. NCAA Division II Edinboro (Pa.) took the team title with 41 points, while NCAA Division I Loyola (Ill.) finished second with 56 points and UW-Oshkosh third with 91. A total of 20 teams and 268 runners took part in the meet.

Week of Sept. 6 - 12
Megan Craig, Senior (Bangor), of UW-Stevens Point
Craig opened the 2004 season by winning the Luther (Iowa) All-American Invitational on September 11 by nearly 30 seconds. The Pointers had five of the top six runners in the race, led by Craig in 18:27. The Pointers won the 14-team meet with 17 points.
