Carley Polk, Senior (Dousman/Mukwonago), Middle Hitter of UW-Whitewater
Polk helped UW-Whitewater compile a 5-0 record on the week, including a 3-2 victory at No. 9-ranked UW-Oshkosh that gave the Warhawks the undisputed WIAC championship. In the win over the Titans, she recorded 12 kills and six block assists. The Warhawks also beat Edgewood College, No. 17-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology (N.J.), Illinois Wesleyan University and Simpson College (Iowa) during the week. In 13 games played during the week, Polk compiled 39 kills (3.00 per game), 16 block assists, four solo blocks and three digs.

Katie Fox, Junior (Chippewa Falls/Chi-Hi), Middle Hitter of UW-Eau Claire
Fox helped UW-Eau Claire win all three of its matches during the week, including a 3-2 victory over No. 10-ranked University of St. Thomas (Minn.). The Blugolds also earned a 3-1 win over UW-Platteville and a 3-0 triumph over No. 14-ranked UW-La Crosse. Against the Tommies, she had a team-leading 15 kills and .379 hitting percentage. In the win over the Pioneers, Fox had a season-high 18 kills and registered a .419 hitting percentage. Against the Eagles, she compiled a .471 hitting percentage and added 11 kills. In the three matches, Fox added 14 block assists and three solo blocks.

Fairchild was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Clarke College (Iowa) Tournament after leading the Yellowjackets to a 3-1 record at the tournament, including a 3-2 victory over No. 10-ranked University of St. Thomas (Minn.). She recorded 57 assists in the match against the Tommies. In 19 games played during the week, Fairchild accumulated 211 assists (11.10 per game), 81 digs (4.26 per game), six service aces and three total blocks.

Leah Rosenbaum, Senior (Wrightstown), Middle Blocker of UW-Oshkosh
Rosenbaum hit .437 with 61 kills in 119 attempts as seventh-ranked UW-Oshkosh went unbeaten in four matches, including a 3-0 victory over fourth-ranked Emory University (Ga.) on Oct. 5. She also totaled seven digs, two service aces, two solo blocks and one assist to help the Titans extend their winning streak to 22 consecutive matches. In UW-Oshkosh's sweep of Emory, Rosenbaum hit .700 with 15 kills in 20 attempts. She also counted two digs and assists on two blocks. Rosenbaum then hit .375 with 18 kills in 40 attempts and counted two digs as the Titans defeated Hope College (Mich.), 3-1, on Oct. 5. UW-Oshkosh's loss to the Flying Dutch in the first game, snapped the Titans' NCAA Division III-record 57-game winning streak Rosenbaum concluded her week's activity with strong performances against Millikin University (Ill.) and Illinois Wesleyan University on Oct. 6. In a sweep of Millikin, Rosenbaum hit .619 with 13 kills on 21 attempts. In UW-Oshkosh's 3-2 win over Illinois Wesleyan, she hit .263 with 15 kills in 38 attempts while compiling three digs and two solo blocks.

Carlson was named to the Simpson (Iowa) Invitational All-Tournament Team after averaging 3.22 kills, 3.56 digs and 0.78 blocks during the tournament. She had double-digit kills in three of four matches and double-digit digs in all four. Carlson had 19 kills and 22 digs in a 3-2 victory over Loras College (Iowa). For the week, she averaged 3.48 kills and 3.24 digs per game.

Kim Vail, Senior (Madison/Memorial), Rightside Hitter of UW-Oshkosh
Vail had an attack percentage of .379 and averaged 3.25 kills per game as UW-Oshkosh posted 3-0 victories over WIAC opponents UW-Platteville, UW-Eau Claire and UW-Superior. In UW-Oshkosh's match against UW-Platteville on Sept. 19, Vail hit .500 with 10 kills, three digs and one service ace. Against UW-Eau Claire on Sept. 21, Vail hit .312 with a team-high 13 kills and one solo block. She hit .375 with three kills and one dig in the Titans' match with UW-Superior on Sept. 22. UW-Oshkosh has won 16 straight matches and 48 consecutive games, with the latter representing the second-longest streak in NCAA Division III history.

Kate Lazotte, Senior (Stoughton), Setter of UW-Whitewater
Lazotte was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Teri Clemens Invitational, which was hosted by Washington University (Mo.), after leading the Warhawks to a 2-1 record with victories over No. 14-ranked University of La Verne (Calif.) and No. 4-ranked Washington. The only loss for UW-Whitewater was against No. 2-ranked Juniata College (Pa.). In 12 games, she compiled 151 assists (12.58 per game) and added 26 digs, 13 kills, 10 block assists and 2 service aces. In the victory against La Verne, she had 67 assists, which ranks as the fourth-highest single-match total in UW-Whitewater history.

Schoonover was named the Most Valuable Player of the Molten/Wyndham Colorado College Invitational. She averaged 4.53 kills, 4.00 digs and 1.08 blocks in four matches as UW-La Crosse went 4-0 in the two-day invitational. Schoonover had double-digit kills in all four matches and double-digit digs in three of four. UW-La Crosse improved to 8-0 on the season with the four victories, their best start since going 9-0 to begin the 1992 campaign.

Rosenbaum received all-tournament honors to lead UW-Oshkosh to a 3-1 record at the Elmhurst College Invitational. Rosenbaum hit .400 with 58 kills in 120 attempts. She also compiled 10 solo blocks, 12 digs and two service aces. Rosenbaum tallied 18 kills and two solo blocks during UW-Oshkosh’s 3-1 win over the College of St. Scholastica (Minn.) on Aug. 31 and 14 kills and five solo blocks during UW-Oshkosh’s 3-0 victory over UW-Platteville on Sept. 1.
