Andrea Coffman, Senior (German Valley,
Ill./Forreston), Middle Hitter of UW-Platteville
Coffman hit .381 in five matches for the Pioneers, leading them to three victories.
She averaged 4.53 kills per game and totaled 19 blocks in 19 games played. Coffman
reached double figures in kills in all five matches and twice surpassed 20 kills.

Petersen helped UW-River Falls to a conference victory over UW-Eau Claire on
October 20 and a 2-2 record at the UW-Whitewater Invitational on October 22-23.
In 19 games played, she finished with 88 kills (4.63 per game), a .300 hitting
percentage, 50 digs, 12 assists and eight service aces.

Konrath was named to the Elmhurst (Ill.) Invitational All-Tournament Team and
helped UW-Whitewater to a 4-1 record on the week. In 17 games played, she compiled
60 kills (3.53 per game), a .394 hitting percentage, 21 digs, 15 block assists,
nine assists and two service aces. Konrath led the team in kills against Elmhurst
(Ill.) (14), Wittenberg (Ohio) (12) and Calvin (Mich.) (11). She also had 14
kills against UW-La Crosse as the Warhawks used a 22-30, 30-25, 30-28, 34-32
victory to secure a share of the conference title.

Viegut recorded 60 kills in four matches (14 games) for an average of 4.29 kills
per game, 57 digs (4.07 per game), four service aces, five block assists and
two solo blocks as UW-Stout went 3-1 this week at the UW-Platteville Invitational.
The Blue Devils defeated St. Norbert, Illinois Wesleyan and Coe (Iowa).

Uttech helped UW-Whitewater vault into sole possession of first place in the
conference standings with victories over No. 15-ranked UW-Stout and No. 16 UW-River
Falls over the weekend. In the victory over the Blue Devils on October 1, she
had a match-high 25 kills and added 16 digs, while registering match-highs with
13 kills and 17 digs against the Falcons on October 2. In six games played,
Uttech registered 38 kills (6.3 per game), 33 digs (5.5 per game), two assists,
one service ace and a .326 hitting percentage.

Becca Carstensen, Senior (Eau Claire/Memorial),
Middle Hitter of UW-Eau Claire
Carstensen earned All-Tournament accolades and led the UW-Eau Claire to the
championship of the 2004 Lisa Siegenthaler Memorial Tournament, in which the
Blugolds topped No. 14-ranked UW-River Falls in the championship match. The
senior middle hitter pounded out 71 kills in 18 games, an average of nearly
four kills per game, a .444 hitting percentage, 37 total blocks, 30 block assists,
18 digs and 16 service aces. Carstensen broke school career records in total
blocks and block assists during the first day of the tournament, surpassing
Brooke Wozniak's marks of 330 and 313, respectively.

Coffman led the Pioneers to two wins in three road matches against ranked, conference
teams. She registered 26 kills, one shy of the UW-Platteville school record,
in a five-game win at No. 13 UW-La Crosse on September 15. Coffman also recorded
17 kills in a win at No. 15 UW-River Falls on September 17 and 18 in a loss
to No. 16 UW-Stout on September 18. For the week, Coffman hit .383 with 61 kills,
an average of 4.69 per game and averaged 1.15 blocks per game.

Laura Wagner, Senior (West Bend/West),
Middle Hitter of UW-La Crosse
Wagner was named to the UW-Platteville All-Tournament Team after UW-La Crosse
finished 3-1 in the tournament. She had 85 kills in 16 games (5.31 per game)
and finished with a .365 hitting percentage, while totaling 17 blocks in the
tournament. She had 17 kills and six blocks against Ripon. In a victory over
St. Mary's (Minn.) on September 8, Wagner accumulated 19 kills and 0 errors
in 27 attempts for a .704 hitting percentage. For the week, she had 104 kills
(5.47 per game) a .409 hitting percentage and 19 blocks.

Coffman earned all-tournament honors at the Washington (Mo.) Classic after leading
the Pioneers to the tournament title and victories over three ranked teams.
UW-Platteville defeated #19 Simpson (Iowa), #15 Wartburg (Iowa) and #1 Washington
(Mo.), the defending national champions. Coffman recorded double figures in
kills in all four tournament matches and hit .320 in the match that stopped
the Bears' 30-match winning streak. For the week, she hit .277 with 22 blocks
in five matches, all Pioneer wins.
