Week of Oct. 9 - 15
Singles
Julie Tellefsen, Senior (Racine/St. Catherine's), of UW-La Crosse
Tellefsen earned a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 3 singles over UW-Eau Claire's Kristie Carlson in UW-La Crosse's 7-2 win over the Blugolds on Oct. 14. The Eagles finished the fall season with a 6-0 WIAC mark. Tellefsen improved to 10-4 in singles play, including 6-0 at No. 3 in conference matches.

Angie Riedel, Senior (Wauwatosa/East) & Julie Tellefsen, Senior (Racine/St. Catherine's), of UW-La Crosse
Riedel and Tellefsen improved to 11-1 overall, including 6-0 in the WIAC, with an 8-2 victory at No. 1 doubles over UW-Eau Claire's Laura Geissler and Sarah Riordan on Oct. 14. The Eagles earned a 7-2 victory over the Blugolds and finished the fall season with a 6-0 conference mark.

Week of Oct. 2 - 8
Singles
Nicole Stamm, Senior (Greendale/Martin Luther), of UW-Whitewater
Stamm went 2-1 at No. 1 singles and secured the top seed for the WIAC Tournament. Her week was highlighted with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over UW-La Crosse's Angie Riedel, who entered the match undefeated in conference play over the past two seasons and had won the previous three meetings between the two individuals. Stamm also defeated UW-Oshkosh's Cory Salo, 6-1, 6-0, earlier in the week. Stamm's lone loss was a 6-2, 6-2 decision to UW-Milwaukee's Kari Kastenholtz, a NCAA Division I opponent.

Jenna Bettmann, Senior (Blaine, Minn.) & Jodie Czech, Sophomore (Foley, Minn.), of UW-Stout
Bettmann and Czech raised their No. 1 WIAC doubles mark to 4-2 with an 8-5 win over UW-Oshkosh's Jenna Abbott and Whitney Tornow on Oct. 7. In the process, they ran their overall record to 12-5 on the season at No. 1 doubles. UW-Stout recorded one of the best seasons in school history this year - posting a 10-4 dual mark.

Angie Riedel, Senior (Wauwatosa/East), of UW-La Crosse
Riedel went 3-0 at No. 1 singles in three WIAC matches last week. She defeated Becky Briese of UW-River Falls (6-1, 6-3), Cathy Thornburg of UW-Stevens Point (6-0, 6-1) and Jenna Bettmann of UW-Stout (6-1, 6-0). Riedel is now 13-1 on the season.

McCormick and Carlson went 2-0 during the weekend losing just three games in two dual meet matches at the No. 2 doubles position. The duo defeated Ver Bockel/O'Melia of UW-Stevens Point (8-1) and Rich/Beckerman of St. Scholastica (Minn.) (8-2). The Blugolds won both dual meets defeating the Pointers (9-0) and the Saints (6-3).

Week of Sept. 18 - 24
Singles
Nicole Stamm, Senior (Greendale/Martin Luther), of UW-Whitewater
Stamm went 5-1 during the week, including an appearance in the quarterfinals of the ITA Midwest Region tournament. She won her first two matches with 6-2, 6-2 and 6-3, 6-1 victories, respectively. In the third round she avenged an early season loss to No. 8 seed Elica Buys of Carthage with a 1-6, 6-3, 10-5 win (she was down 4-1 in the tiebreak). Stamm was the only WIAC player to knock off a seeded player in the tournament. Stamm then fell to No. 2 seed Molly Fiala of Coe (Iowa) in the quarterfinals. Earlier in the week, Stamm upended Kayte O'Brien of St. Norbert, 7-6, 6-3, and Cathy Thornburg of UW-Stevens Point 6-0, 6-2.

Erin Fekete, Senior (Menomonie) & Rachel Benn, Freshman (Stevens Point/SPASH), of UW-La Crosse
Fekete and Benn advanced to the ITA Midwest Regional semifinals with an overall record of 4-1. The duo, unseeded in the tournament, defeated Khajuria/Engh of Grinnell (Iowa) (8-3); Peach/Weber of St Catherine (Minn.) (8-2) and Parrish/Edwards of Wheaton (Ill.) (8-6) in their first three matches before defeating fourth-seeded Hannah Frericks/Darcy Haubrick of Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.) (9-7) in the quarterfinals. Fekete/Benn dropped an 8-6 match to top-seeded Amanda Sta Romana/Elizca Buys of Carthage in the semifinals.

Week of Sept. 11 - 17
Singles
Katie Carr, Freshman (Rochester, Minn./Mayo), of UW-Stout
Carr recorded two conference wins at No. 6 singles, going three sets against both UW-Eau Claire and UW-Whitewater to take the wins. Playing her first varsity singles matches of the year, she came back from one set down in both matches to win. On September 12, she defeated the Blugolds' Brenna McCormick, 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-5), then on September 15, Carr upended the Warhawks' Tiffany Dawson 6-7 (1-7), 6-3, 10-7.

Theis and Dawson went 3-0 at No. 2 doubles during the week with victories against UW-Stout, UW-River Falls and St. Mary's (Minn.). The duo dominated play, losing just seven games in three road matches. They defeated their Blue Devil opponents, 8-1, their Falcon opponents, 8-5, and their Cardinal opponents 8-1.

Jessie Farrar, Junior (Rock Island, Ill.), of UW-Whitewater
Farrar won four matches during the week at No. 2 singles to improve to 6-1 on the season. On September 8, she defeated UW-Eau Claire's Gina Dahl, 6-4, 6-3, in a dual match. Competing at the Warhawk Invitational on September 9, she won the No. 2 singles crown, dropping only nine total games in three matches. Farrar's only loss this season is at No. 1 singles against a nationally-ranked player from Carthage.

Fekete and Benn opened their season with a 4-0 doubles record during the week. The duo earned an 8-0 victory at No. 2 doubles in UW-La Crosse's 9-0 victory at Beloit on September 9. At the Warhawk Invitational on September 9, Fekete and Benn won the No. 1 doubles flight with a 6-2, 3-6, (10-6) decision over UW-Whitewater's Tiffany Dawson and Kara Theis.
