RELEASED: Wednesday, November 7, 2007 UW-Stevens Point’s Miech Claims 300th Career Victory
Miech is in her 21st season at UW-Stevens Point and owns a 300-98-27 career record. She guided the Pointers through the longest conference winning streak in NCAA history with 70 straight WIAC wins from 1997 to 2003. Ranking fifth on the all-time NCAA Division III wins list, Miech becomes just the third female coach in any division of NCAA women’s soccer to reach 300 career victories. # # # # #

Madison, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point head women’s soccer coach Sheila Miech earned her 300th career victory in the Pointers’ 3-2 win over UW-Whitewater in the WIAC tournament semifinals on Nov. 2 in Eau Claire, Wis.
