UW-Eau Claire’s Talbot Claims NSCAA All-America Status

Anna TalbotMadison, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s Anna Talbot has been named to the 2007 NCAA Division III National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA)/adidas All-America Third Team.

A native of Apple Valley, Minn. (Eastview H.S.), the senior defender was named the 2007 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Player of the Year after anchoring a Blugold defense that compiled a league-best 14 shutouts, a total that ranks fourth on the WIAC single-season list.  UW-Eau Claire allowed just 12 goals this season.

She is the fourth Blugold in program history to claim NSCAA All-America honors, joining Diane Kelsch (1993), Kari Blasczyk (2000) and Becky Westbrock (2006).
