Melissa Becker, Junior (Rhinelander), Midfielder of UW-Stevens Point
Becker took only two shots against Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.), but both of them
escaped the Gusties' goalkeeper. Becker scored at 18:22 and again at 57:13 to
lift the Pointers to a 4-1 victory at St. Peter, Minn. Becker now has six goals
on the season.

Ballweg made six saves against Nebraska Wesleyan to cap UW-Stout's school record
10th shutout of the season on November 1. Her best save came in the final minutes
of the match as Nebraska Wesleyan searched for the tying goal, their leading
scorer broke through on the leftside, but Ballweg outdueled her and deflected
the shot to a Blue Devil teammate.

Carlson played an important offensive role for the Falcons in the team's three
wins this week, including two in WIAC action. In UW-River Falls' 4-1 win over
UW-Whitewater, Carlson scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner. She
also added a goal against Wisconsin Lutheran in a 7-1 victory. Carlson leads
the Falcons with 14 goals and 32 points this season.

Stransky helped lead UW-La Crosse to a 2-1 double overtime win at UW-Stevens
Point. The loss was the Pointers' first-ever WIAC loss in the 12-year history
of the league, a span of 88 regular season matches. UW-La Crosse extended its
unbeaten streak to seven-straight matches with the victory at UW-Stevens Point.

Offense
Stacy Stroud, Sophomore (New Berlin/West), Midfielder of UW-Oshkosh
Stroud helped UW-Oshkosh to a pair of victories by scoring the match-tying goal
against regionally ranked Illinois Wesleyan on October 17 and the game-winning
goal against UW-Eau Claire on October 19. In UW-Oshkosh's 2-1 win over Illinois
Wesleyan, ranked sixth in the Central Region, Stroud's goal tied the contest
at 1-1 with 13:30 left in the match. In the Titans' 3-1 victory over UW-Eau
Claire, her scoring strike gave the Titans a 2-1 lead with 18:45 left in the
contest. UW-Oshkosh's win over UW-Eau Claire was just the Titans' second in
school history.

Jennrich helped UW-River Falls to two wins this week, recording shutouts in
both games. She made eight saves against Concordia-Moorhead (Minn.) and followed
that performance with eight more saves in a win over UM-Crookston. Jennrich
has not allowed a goal in the past four matches she has played and has recorded
eight shutouts this season.

Zellner led UW-Eau Claire to a 3-0 record on the week to help the Blugolds even
their overall and league records. She scored a hat trick against UW-River Falls
on October 8 and netted the game-winning goal against Carleton (Minn.) on October
11. In the game against the Falcons, she had two goals within four minutes of
each other in the first half, while her tally against Carleton broke a 1-1 tie
in the 55th minute.

Pickett helped UW-La Crosse to two victories this week. The Eagles, who have
won four straight matches for the first time since 1999, allowed only one goal
in the two wins. UW-La Crosse defeated Cornell (Iowa), 2-1 and UW-Oshkosh, 1-0,
in overtime.

Megan Frey, Junior (Wauwatosa/East), Midfielder of UW-Stevens Point
Frey scored a game-winning goal and had a game-winning assist this week. She
netted the game-winner with 18 minutes remaining in the Pointers' 1-0 victory
over UW-Stout. On Saturday, Frey assisted Jenny Bruce on the game-winning goal
in the 84th minute of the Pointers' 2-1 win over William Penn (Iowa), the 20th-ranked
NAIA school. She also had an assist in a 6-2 victory over Morningside (Iowa).

Brink played stellar defense as UW-Oshkosh posted its eighth and ninth shutouts
of the season. The Titans defeated Lawrence on September 30 by a 5-0 score,
holding the Vikings to just two shots. The Titans edged UW-Stout on October
4 by a 1-0 count, limiting the Blue Devils to only six shots. Both matches were
held in Oshkosh.

Falls
Carlson helped lead UW-River Falls to three wins in three games last week, including
two victories in WIAC action. Carlson, the team's leading scorer with eight
goals, scored the only goal of the game in overtime to give the Falcons a 1-0
win over UW-La Crosse. In a 2-1 double overtime win at UW-Oshkosh, she scored
the game-winning goal with just 15 seconds remaining. In between the league
contests, Carlson scored both goals in a 2-1 victory over Carleton (Minn.).

Fink moved into second place on the Pointers' all-time scoring list against
UW-River Falls on Sept. 20 by recording her third career hat trick. She scored
her 56th, 57th and 58th goals, all assisted by Jenny Bruce, to move past Susie
Lindauer on the all-time chart. Fink's goals led the Pointers to a 5-0 win over
the Falcons and extended their NCAA conference win streak record to 68 matches.

Acklam helped UW-Whitewater to three wins on the week, including a 3-2 victory
over UW-Eau Claire on September 13. She had a pair of second half goals in the
victory over the Blugolds. Her goal at the 51:00 mark tied the contest, while
her score at 57:30 gave the Warhawks the victory. UW-Whitewater also defeated
Luther (Iowa), 2-1, on September 11 and North Park (Ill.), 2-0, on September
14.

a 2-1 double overtime win over St. Benedict (Minn.) on September 14. She recorded
five saves against the Blazers and allowed her first goal of the season. Tomjanovich
recorded her second shutout of the year and registered three saves in a 3-0
win over St. Olaf (Minn.) on September 13.

Fry helped the Blugolds to a 5-2 win over St. Olaf (Minn.) by totaling five
points on two goals and an assist. She assisted on the first goal of the game
and recorded a goal late in the first half to give the Blugolds a 4-2 halftime
lead.

Bruce scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory at St. Thomas (Minn.), which
entered the match ranked No. 20 nationally. Bruce dribbled down the right side
and through her Tommie defender, before depositing the winner in the back of
the net. She then added two goals and two assists on Sunday in an 8-1 win at
home against Lawrence.

In two games, Ballweg pitched two shutouts as the Blue Devils defensively dominated
two teams, St. Scholastica (Minn.) and NCAA Division II Bemidji State (Minn.),
by identical 1-0 scores to win the Advantage Emblem Cup in Duluth, Minn. Ballweg
stopped six shots against St. Scholastica (Minn.) and five shots against Bemidji
(Minn.).
