Molly Cady, Junior (Cottage Grove/Monona Grove), Forward of UW-Stevens Point
Cady had a big week for the Pointers, totaling four goals and an assist as the
team went 3-0 to wrap up its regular season with a 14-1 record and their fifth
consecutive WIAC Championship. Cady had a goal and an assist in a 2-0 win over
21st ranked Macalester (Minn.). She also scored the first two goals in a 6-0
win over St. Norbert and scored in a 4-1 win at Stout.

Brady posted three consecutive shutouts, including a 120-minute double overtime
contest against St. Thomas (Minn.), ranked No. 16 in the most recent NSCAA Division
III poll. She stopped 11 shots in the win against the Tommies. The final two
conference victories over River Falls and Superior allowed the Blugolds to finish
third in the league standings.

Nellie Sivertsen, Junior (River Falls), Forward of UW-Stout
Sivertsen scored ten points on four goals and two assists as Stout went 3-0
on the week, downing River Falls 4-1, Platteville 2-1 and Wisconsin Lutheran
2-1. She had the game-winning goal against Platteville in the final minutes
of the game, and a pair of goals in the win over River Falls.

Hyslop made three saves in both of the Pointers games last week, including
a game-saving stop on an Eau Claire breakaway with ten minutes remaining in
the Pointers 1-0 overtime victory on October 3. She also had three saves
in a 2-0 loss to eighth-ranked Wheaton (Ill.). Hyslop has a 0.82 goals-against-average
this season, which ranks second in the conference.

Kelly Fink, Sophomore (West Bend/West), Forward of UW-Stevens Point
Fink scored seven goals and an assist in three games on the week. She scored
three goals in a 6-0 victory over Edgewood on Monday, and added two goals and
an assist in defeating Superior 12-0 on Wednesday. On Saturday against Whitewater,
Fink scored the first two goals of the second half, just 1:34 apart to lift
the Pointers to an 8-0 victory.

Layden scored the game-winning goal in La Crosses 3-2 overtime win at
Whitewater Saturday. It was her second goal of the season and gave the Eagles
their first conference win of the season. Earlier in the week, the Eagles played
to a 0-0 double overtime match against Eau Claire.

Engel tallied six saves in Oshkoshs 1-0 double overtime win over Eau Claire.
She played all 112:65 minutes, while posting her third shutout of the season.
The victory by the Titans was their first-ever over the Blugolds, a span of
11 matches. Engel also played 29:15 shutout minutes in a 3-1 win over Lawrence
earlier in the week.

goals in a 2-0 win over UW-Platteville. She also helped the Falcons to a 2-1
win over Hamline (Minn.).

Oswall scored two goals in a 3-1 win over St. Norbert and added one goal and
one assist in a 3-2 triumph over Aurora (IL) to help keep the Blugolds unbeaten
this season.

Field picked up her first collegiate hat trick and in the process tripled her
goals total from last season when she scored three goals in UW-Stouts
5-0 win over Martin Luther (Minn.). She also recorded two assists in the game.

Mickey Jacob, Senior (Neenah), Midfielder of UW-Stevens Point
The senior midfielder was outstanding, according to coach Sheila Miech. Jacob
dominated the midfield in both of the Pointers victories over Minnesota
foes St. Thomas and Gustavus Adolphus. She also collected a loose ball at the
top of the penalty box against Gustavus Adolphus and drilled the game-winning
goal in the 2-1 victory.
