2005-06 WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll and All-Academic Awards Announced
Madison, Wis.--The Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) has announced the members of the 2005-06 Men’s and Women’s Scholastic Honor Roll and the recipients of the All-Academic Award.
During the 2005-06 academic year, nearly 50 percent of the student-athletes competing in the league achieved a 3.0 grade point average or better (on a 4.0 scale) and were named to the Scholastic Honor Roll.
The conference also presented All-Academic Awards to those institutions that had a grade point average for its student-athletes that was equal to, or greater than, the grade point average of the overall student body. Institutions receiving the All-Academic Award for the 2005-06 academic year included: UW-La Crosse, UW-Platteville, UW-River Falls and UW-Whitewater.
Individuals named to the Scholastic Honor Roll will receive a certificate recognizing the achievement, while institutions claiming All-Academic Awards will receive a plaque.
