Schmerbauch won the 500-yard freestyle (5:06.30) in UW-La Crosse’s 142-99 dual victory over UW-Whitewater on February 9.

Colin Schmidt, Freshman (Madison/LaFollette), of UW-La Crosse
Schmidt won the 500-yard freestyle (5:01.00) in UW-La Crosse’s 177-61 dual meet win over UW-Oshkosh on February 2.

Jacob Chadderdon, Junior (Madison/West), of UW-Oshkosh
Chadderdon set a school record as he went unbeaten against divers from Lawrence University on January 30 and UW-La Crosse on February 2. In UW-Oshkosh’s 134-92 win over Lawrence University, Chadderdon scored 275.95 points to win the one-meter diving and 296.65 to win the three-meter diving. In the Titans’ 177-61 loss to UW-La Crosse, Chadderdon compiled 338 points to win the one-meter diving and 278.55 to win the three-meter diving. His performance in the one-meter diving established a school record.

Swimming
Trevor Miller, Freshman (South St. Paul, Minn.), of UW-Eau Claire
Miller played a big role in UW-Eau Claire’s 150-91 win over UW-Whitewater on January 26. He finished first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.73 and claimed first place in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.52. Miller also anchored the Blugolds’ 400-yard medley relay team that finished first in 3:47.95.

Bryan Dykstra, Junior (Racine/Horlick), of UW-Eau Claire
In UW-Eau Claire’s 150-91 win over UW-Whitewater on January 26, Dykstra won the one-meter and three-meter competitions. He won the one-meter event with a score of 259.60 and the three-meter competition with a national qualifying score of 285.30.

Brent Schwartz, Sophomore (Waukesha/South), of UW-Stevens Point
Schwartz captured the title in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:13.96 and placed seventh in the 100-yard breaststroke at the Get to the Point Invitational held January 18-19. UW-Stevens Point placed second in the team standings behind University of North Dakota.

Jacob Chadderdon, Junior (Madison/West), of UW-Oshkosh
Chadderdon took first place in the three-meter diving and second place in the one-meter diving as UW-Oshkosh finished third at the University of Chicago (Ill.) held January 18-19. He won the three-meter event with a score of 467.05, while placing second in the one-meter competition with a value of 429.80. The three-meter diving featured nine competitors and the one-meter diving 11.

Week of Dec. 3 - 9
Swimming
Ben Macalalad, Freshman (Wausau/East), of UW-Eau Claire
Macalalad was the only double-winner for the Blugolds in a dual meet against UW-La Crosse on Dec. 8. He won the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:21.06 to nip the Eagles’ Karl Richters by 7/10 of a second. Macalalad also won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:00.99.

Bryan Dykstra, Junior (Racine/Horlick), of UW-Eau Claire
Dykstra easily won both diving events in a dual meet against UW-La Crosse on Dec. 8. He scored a 293.00 to win the one-meter event by 72.65 points and tallied a 257.75 to capture the three-meter board by 77.35 points.

Week of Nov. 26 - Dec. 2

Chase Gross, Junior (Edina, Minn.), of UW-Stevens Point
Gross had six individual and one relay NCAA qualifying time at the Wheaton (Ill.) Invitational on Nov. 30-Dec. 1. He set meet, pool and team records in winning the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 49.82. Gross met the NCAA qualifying standard in the 50-, 100- and 200-yard freestyle, 100-yard butterfly, 200-yard individual medley and 100-yard backstroke. Some of his cuts were made off leading relay teams.

Jacob Chadderdon, Junior (Madison/West), of UW-Oshkosh
Chadderdon captured both diving titles as UW-Oshkosh finished second in its own invitational held Dec. 1. He finished first among 13 competitors in the one-meter diving with a score of 403.45. Kyle Boers of UW-Whitewater placed second with a count of 348.50. In the three-meter diving, Chadderdon finished first among eight competitors with a score of 412.55. Boers took second place with a tally of 390.25.

Week of Oct. 29 - Nov. 4
Swimming
Lance Scadden, Senior (Sun Prairie), of UW-La Crosse
Scadden won the 200-yard backstroke (2:01.75) and tied for first in the 100-yard backstroke (54.64) at the Northfield Quad Classic at St. Olaf College (Minn.) on Nov. 3. He also placed fourth in the 200-yard butterfly (2:15.86) and was a member of the second-place 200-yard medley relay team (1:37.20).

Jacob Chadderdon, Junior (Madison/West), of UW-Oshkosh
Chadderdon took first place in the three-meter diving and second in the one-meter diving as UW-Oshkosh dropped a pair of dual meets to Luther College (Iowa) and UW-Whitewater on Nov. 3. He totaled 266.45 points to win the three-meter diving and 258 to rank second in the one-meter diving.
Week of Oct. 22 - 28
Swimming
Chase Gross, Junior (Edina, Minn.), of UW-Stevens Point
Gross won two individual events in a triple-dual with UW-Eau Claire and St. Cloud State (Minn.) on Oct. 27. He captured the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.19 and the 100-yard freestyle in 47.14. Gross was also a member of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay team that finishing with a clocking of 3:14.80.

Swimming
Nicholas Cole, Senior (West Bend/East), of UW-Oshkosh
In a 171-115 dual meet victory against UW-River Falls on Oct. 20, Cole won the a pair of events and finished second in another. He won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.91 and the 500-yard freestyle with a mark of 5:15.87. Cole added a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:09.08.

Diving
Bryan Dykstra, Junior (Racine/Horlick), of UW-Eau Claire
Dykstra won both diving events, making national cuts in the one-meter dive in a dual meet against NCAA Division II opponent Minnesota State-Mankato. He won the one-meter with a score of 285.30 and the three-meter event with a mark of 251.50.
