Tyler SiglTyler Sigl, Senior (Seymour), of UW-Platteville
Sigl won the 10,000-meter race at the 99th annual Drake Relays, beating 24 other finishers to win at one of the nation's most prestigious venues. The competition was mostly NCAA Division I runners who will be back at the same site in June for their national championships. Sigl, the defending NCAA Division III champion, finished in a time of 30:18.42 to surpass the second-place time of 31:06.46 by Parker Cowles of Air Force.

James SimmsJames Simms, Sophomore (Fredonia/Ozaukee), of UW-Oshkosh
Simms recorded a WIAC season best when he leaped 6-7 1/2 to win the high jump at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational on April 26.  His performance, which is the sixth-best in UW-Oshkosh history, surpassed the provisional qualifying standard for the NCAA Division III Championship.  UW-Oshkosh won the eight-team meet with 190 points.

Matt KramerMatt Kramer, Senior (Cloquet, Minn.), of UW-Superior
Kramer broke the school record in the 1,500-meter run twice in three days.  Competing at the UMD Bulldog Open on April 17, he had a winning time of 3:55.25.  At the Carleton College (Minn.) Relays on April 19, Kramer beat a field of 41 competitors with a time of 3:55.10.   He provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship with both of his performances.

Drewek was first in the pole vault with a height of 16-0 1/2 at the Phil Esten Challenge on April 18.  His mark provisionally qualified him for the NCAA Division III Championship and ranks as the second-best in the conference and 10th-highest in the NCAA Division III this season.

Tyler SiglTyler Sigl, Senior (Seymour), of UW-Platteville
Sigl won the 1,500-meter run at the Nike/Impact Sports UW-Platteville Invitational on April 13 in 3:53.89.  His time is a NCAA Division III provisional qualifying mark and is currently the sixth-fastest in the country this season.

Nicholas Ver DuinNicholas Ver Duin, Senior (Howards Grove), of UW-Stevens Point
Ver Duin had three first-place finishes at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational on April 5.  He won the 400-meter dash in 49.14 and was a member of the 4x100-meter relay team that was victorious in 42.53.  Ver Duin also ran the anchor leg of the 4x400-meter relay team that won in 3:17.90.

Tyler SiglTyler Sigl, Senior (Seymour), of UW-Platteville
Sigl cruised to the 5,000-meter run title in 14:26.97, breaking his own school record, and leading the Pioneers to the team title at the 15-school Washington University (Mo.) Invitational.  Besides setting a new Pioneer mark, Sigl automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Championship.

Chris PetrieChris Petrie, Sophomore (Glenbeulah/Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah), of UW-Stevens Point
Petrie leaped 44-3 1/2 to take first place in the triple jump at the North Central College (Ill.) Invitational.  The Pointers finished second in the team standings with 146 points.
