Track
Nick Boehlke, Senior (Sugar Camp/Three Lakes), of UW-Oshkosh
Boehlke won the 10,000-meter run at the Hillsdale (Mich.) Gina Relays on April 27-29. He outran 60 competitors by posting a winning time of 29:52.68. His performance established a school record and surpassed the automatic qualifying standard for the NCAA Division III Championships. His 10,000-meter time is the fastest in the NCAA Division III this season.

Ross Kapp, Senior (West Allis), of UW-Whitewater
Kapp won both the shot put and hammer throw at the Loras (Iowa) Open on April 29 with distances of 55-1 and 177-11, respectively. His performance in the shot put ranks fifth in the NCAA Division III this season and increased his provisional qualifying mark for the national championships.

Track
Marcus Walgrave, Junior (Luverne, Minn.), of UW-La Crosse
Walgrave won the 100-meter dash (10.77) and the 110-meter hurdles (14.23) at the Phil Esten Challenge on April 21. He set a school record in winning the 110-meter hurdles and automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships. Walgrave provisionally qualified for the national championships with his performance in the 100-meter dash.

Matt Novak, Junior (Schofield/D.C. Everest), of UW-La Crosse
Novak won the pole vault at the Musco Twilight Open at the University of Iowa on April 22 with a meet record mark of 17-2 3/4. It is also the top vault in NCAA Division III this season and a personal-best mark for Novak. He also automatically qualified for the national championships with the performance. Novak tied for first in the vault (17-0 3/4) at the Phil Esten Challenge on April 21.

Joe Schmidt, Senior (Howards Grove), of UW-Whitewater
Schmidt placed first in the 110-meter hurdles and 400-meter hurdles with NCAA Division III provisional qualifying times of 14.89 and 53.80, respectively. The Warhawks competed at the Wheaton (Ill.) Invitational on April 15.

Raether won the discus throw at the North Central (Ill.) Invitational on April 14 with a NCAA Division III automatic qualifying mark of 175-11. It is the second-farthest throw in UW-La Crosse history and also a lifetime best for Raether.

The 4x400-meter relay team finished fourth at the Mark Messersmith Invitational at Northern Iowa on April 8 with a time of 3:10.75. They automatically qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships.

Nolan Hietpas, Senior (Little Chute), of UW-La Crosse
Hietpas won the 400-meter intermediate hurdles at the Viking Olympics at Augustana (Ill.). He provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships with his winning time of 53.27.

Brandon Houle, Junior (Oshkosh/North), of UW-Oshkosh
Houle won two events and placed second in another as UW-Oshkosh finished second at the North Central (Ill.) First Chance Meet held April 1. He took first place in the hammer throw with a cast of 180-8 and the shot put with a toss of 53-1. Houle also ranked second in the discus with a heave of 147-2. His efforts in the hammer throw and shot put eclipsed provisional qualifying standards for the NCAA Division III Championships. North Central won the five-team meet with 180 points, while UW-Oshkosh finished second with 160.
