Three Teams Claim NCAA Cross Country At-Large Bids
Madison, Wis.--Three Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) cross country teams have received at-large bids into the 2007 NCAA Division III Championships.
UW-Platteville’s men’s and women’s team, along with UW-La Crosse’s women’s team have claimed at-large invitations to the meet.
In the men’s race, the WIAC will be represented by UW-La Crosse, UW-Platteville and UW-Stevens Point, along with UW-Whitewater’s Brian Butzler.
The women’s competition will feature UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse and UW-Platteville, along with UW-Oshkosh’s Ayla Mitchell, UW-River Falls’ Becca Jordahl and UW-Stevens Point’s Hannah Dieringer.
The national championships will be held Nov. 17 in Northfield, Minn. with the women’s 6,000-meter race beginning at 11 a.m. and men’s 8,000-meter event starting at noon.
