RELEASED: Monday, February 11, 2008 UW-Stevens Point’s Hicklin and Rortvedt Secure Academic All-District Men’s Basketball Honors
The team is comprised of all NCAA Division II, Division III and NAIA student-athletes from Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota and is voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Hicklin, a senior from Sussex, Wis. (Hamilton H.S.), claimed third team honors for the second consecutive season. He is majoring in broadfield social studies and maintains a 3.51 grade point average. Rortvedt, a sophomore from Minocqua, Wis. (Lakeland H.S.), boasts a 4.00 grade point average and is majoring in biology. He is just one of three individuals on the three all-district teams to accumulate a 4.00 grade point average. # # # # #

Madison, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point’s Steve Hicklin and Ross Rortvedt have been named to the 2008 CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Five College Division Men’s Basketball Third Team.
