Tim Dworak, Junior (Kewaunee), Forward

Dworak helped the Titans to a pair of road wins last week and a share of the
2001-02 WIAC title. In a 74-66 win over La Crosse, he poured in 27 points and
hauled in 14 rebounds with two blocks and one steal. It was his WIAC-leading
tenth double-double (points-rebounds) of the season. His performance included
a 17-for-18 effort from the free throw line. In an 84-59 win over Eau Claire,
he had 32 points on 12-of-15 shooting from the field and eight rebounds. It
was his sixth 30-plus scoring effort in conference play this season. Dating
back to last season, Dworak has scored in double figures in 31 straight games.

Eddie Hebert, Senior (Barrington, Ill./Fremd),

Hebert averaged 32.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals in two
La Crosse victories. He scored a season-high 33 points in the Eagles' 92-60
win over Platteville. Hebert was 13-of-17 from the field, including three-of-four
from three-point range, and four-for-four from the free throw line. He added
four rebounds and two assists. Hebert then scored 31 points with seven assists,
six rebounds and four steals in an 87-72 victory at Superior. He was ten-for-19
from the field and ten-for-11 from the line. In the two games, Hebert shot 63.9%
(23-of-36) from the field and 93.3% (14-of-15) at the line.

Eddie Hebert, Senior (Barrington, Ill./Fremd),

Hebert averaged 22.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in two La Crosse victories
last week. He scored 25 points with ten rebounds in an 84-72 win over Stevens
Point, snapping a seven-game losing streak to the Pointers. Hebert then scored
20 points with six assists and five rebounds in an 80-74 victory at River Falls.
He was 14-of-25 (56.0%) from the field in the two games, including six-of-ten
from three-point range. Hebert was 11-of-13 (84.6%) at the free throw line.
La Crosse has now won its most games since 1988-89 (15-12) and most conference
games since 1987-88 (9-7).

Iserloth matched his own school record by scoring 40 points in a 91-80 overtime
victory at Whitewater. The win gave the Warhawks their first loss at home this
season. Iserloth was 14-for-25 from the field, including four-for-six from the
three-point line. He was a perfect eight-for-eight from the free throw line.
Iserloth sent the game into overtime with two free throws with 22 seconds remaining.
His 11 rebounds gave him his first double-double (points-rebounds) of the season.
Iserloth also reached the 40-point plateau on January 9 against River Falls.

Dworak continued his outstanding play by totalling 57 points, 20 rebounds, four
steals and three assists as Oshkosh moved into second place in the WIAC standings
with a pair of wins. In Oshkosh’s 77-69 win over Eau Claire on January 16, Dworak
scored 36 points, grabbed six rebounds and recorded three steals. He also was
12-for-12 on free throw attempts. It was his fifth 30-plus scoring game in eight
WIAC contests. In Oshkosh’s 65-60 win over River Falls on January 19, Dworak
scored 21 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and dished off three assists. The double-double
(points and rebounds) against the Falcons was his seventh of the season, including
his sixth in nine WIAC games. Dworak’s weekly (two-game) shooting totals were
22-of-37 from the field and 13-of-13 from the free throw line. Through nine
WIAC games this season, he has averaged 30.1 points and 10.4 rebounds per contest.

Iserloth made Stevens Point basketball history on Wednesday night, when he became
the first Pointer player to score 40 points in a single game in the Pointers’
94-79 win at River Falls. His scoring effort was also the best in the conference
since Oshkosh’s Brad Clark poured in 40 points against Superior on Dec. 11,
1999. Iserloth’s performance included an eight-for-eight effort on three-point
attempts, also setting a school record for three-pointers in a game and three-point
field goal percentage in a game. He finished the game 14-for-18 from the field
and had six rebounds. Through Wednesday’s game, he had hit 22 of his last 25
three-point attempts. On Saturday, Iserloth scored 15 points on seven-for-14
shooting, grabbed nine rebounds, had three blocked shots and four steals against
Oshkosh. For the week, he had 55 points, 15 rebounds, nine-for-11 on three point
attempts (82%), four steals and four blocked shots.

Dworak turned in a pair of double-double performances in points and rebounds
to lead Oshkosh to a pair of WIAC victories. In Oshkosh’s win over nationally-ranked
Whitewater on January 2, Dworak scored 38 points to tie a career high and grabbed
14 rebounds to set a career best. He also added two assists and one steal. It
was the third straight WIAC game that Dworak had scored 35-plus points in a
game. In Oshkosh’s 73-68 overtime win over Stout on January 5, Dworak scored
29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season.
He also added three steals and two assists. Dworak’s two-game totals featured
67 points on 20-of-33 shooting from the field and 25-of-32 shooting from the
free throw line and 25 rebounds.

Vesel had 43 points, eight rebounds and two assists in a pair of Yellowjacket
wins at the 11th annual Pete Thorn Invitational in Crawfordsville, Ind. He was
named the tournament MVP for his efforts. In a 65-61 victory over MacMurray
(Ill.) on Saturday, he had 15 points, five rebounds and two steals. In the championship
game against Olivet (Mich.) on Sunday, he poured in a season-high 28 points
on six-of-nine shooting from the field and 14-of-16 from the free throw line.
The pair of victories improved the Yellowjackets’ record to 6-5 on the season.

Krueger picked up his fourth and fifth double-doubles of the year in leading
Stout to a perfect 2-0 record on the week, defeating Eau Claire, 80-74, and
Viterbo, 71-53. Against the Blugolds, Stout snapped a nine-game conference road
losing streak as Krueger scored 25 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. He was
8-for-15 from the floor and 9-for-13 from the line. Krueger also had two assists
and one blocked shot. Against Viterbo, Krueger scored 21 points and had 14 rebounds.
He was 8-for-10 from the floor - including his first three-point field goal
as a Blue Devil, and 4-for-4 from the line (Stout was a perfect 9-for-9 from
the line, Viterbo 13-for-13). Krueger had one assist, one blocked shot and two
steals. On the week, Krueger scored 46 points (16-for-25 field goals, 13-for-17
from the line), with 26 rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots and two steals.

Becker helped the Falcons to two wins last week, including a WIAC win at Oshkosh
on Saturday that gave the Falcons their first win against the Titans in nine
meetings. In Tuesday’s 84-73 win over Northwestern (Minn.), he led the team
with 20 points. He had four rebounds, three assists and two steals. At Oshkosh,
he again led the team with 24 points and was 10-for-11 from the field, including
3-for-3 from three-point range. He added four rebounds, four assists and two
steals. For the two games, he was 17-for-24 from the field, including 5-for-8
from three-point range and 7-for-10 from the line for 44 points. He had eight
rebounds, seven assists, four steals and only three turnovers in 67 minutes
of action.

Lewis-Byers led the Warhawks to a pair of wins on the week. In a 65-62 season-opening
win over River Falls, he poured in 21 points on 9-of-9 shooting from the field
and 3-of-6 from the line. Lewis-Byers also had nine rebounds and one steal in
the contest. Earlier in the week against Wisconsin Lutheran, he had 21 points
on 9-for-11 shooting from the field and also added five rebounds and two steals.
For the week, Lewis-Byers had 42 points on 18-of-20 shooting (90 percent), 14
rebounds and three steals.

DeWyre helped the Falcons to a pair of wins last week. He led the team in scoring
in the win over 18th-ranked St. Thomas (Minn.). DeWyre finished the game with
22 points, going 8-for-13 from the field including 6-for-8 from three-point
range. In a 72-59 win at Lake Forest (Ill.), he chipped in 11 points. In the
two games, DeWyre scored 33 points and was 12-for-17 from the field including
9-for-11 from three-point range. He also had six assists, five steals and three
rebounds.

Selk scored a career-high 37 points - including 25 of the Pioneers’ first 32
- to lead Platteville to a 79-71 win over Coe (Iowa) Friday. Selk made 13-of-19
from the field and 10-of-11 from the line. He also grabbed 10 rebounds. Selk
followed that performance up by scoring 13 points in a 79-71 overtime victory
at St. John’s (Minn.), ranked as high as ninth in the preseason polls. He added
six rebounds and two steals to help defeat the Johnnies.
