Maggie Loney, Senior (River Falls),
of UW-Eau Claire
Loney set a course record by shooting a final round 66 to win medalist honors
at the UW-Whitewater Invitational held September 24-25 at Prairie Woods Golf
Course in Avalon, Wis. She broke the previous course record by seven strokes.
Loney began the day tied for sixth place after shooting a 78 on the first day
of competition. At the Carthage Invitational on September 23, Loney tied for
seventh place with a final score of 83. The Blugolds placed third at both invitationals.

Week of Sept. 12 - 18
Maggie Loney, Senior (River Falls),
of UW-Eau Claire
Loney, a two-time All-American, finished third overall at the Illinois Wesleyan
Fall Classic held September 17-18. She finished with 147 strokes (75 on the
first day, 72 on the second day) to help the Blugolds to a third-place finish
out of 25 teams.

Week of Sept. 5 - 11
Cheryl Treadwell, Senior (Brookfield/Central),
of UW-Oshkosh
Treadwell claimed the top individual award as UW-Oshkosh rallied from a three-stroke
deficit after the first round to win its own 10-team invitational held Saturday
and Sunday at the Westridge Golf Course in Neenah. Treadwell took 162 shots
to capture medalist honors by one stroke. A total of 49 golfers took part in
the tournament.

Week of Aug. 29 - Sept. 4
Jennifer Young, Junior (Salem/Westosha
Central), of UW-Oshkosh
Young recorded a pair of top-three finishes as UW-Oshkosh finished third at
the Augustana (Ill.) Invitational on September 1 and fourth at the UW-Eau Claire
Invitational on September 3-4. She finished second with 77 strokes at the Augustana
Invitational and third with 160 strokes at the UW-Eau Claire Invitational.
