UW-Whitewater Wins Third Consecutive Football Championship

UW-WhitewaterMadison, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Whitewater won its third consecutive Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) football championship with a 26-10 victory over UW-Stout at Don & Nona Williams Stadium on Nov. 3.

The league title is the 28th in program history and also secures an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament that begins on Nov. 17.  UW-Whitewater has made back-to-back appearances in the national championship game.

The Warhawks were the preseason favorite to win the conference crown in a preseason poll conducted by the WIAC sports information directors.
