The league title is the 28th in program history and also secures an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament that begins on Nov. 17. UW-Whitewater has made back-to-back appearances in the national championship game. The Warhawks were the preseason favorite to win the conference crown in a preseason poll conducted by the WIAC sports information directors. Madison, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Whitewater won its third consecutive Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) football championship with a 26-10 victory over UW-Stout at Don & Nona Williams Stadium on Nov. 3.
