The conference title for the Warhawks is the 11th in program history and fifth in the last six years. UW-Whitewater finished this year’s slate against WIAC opponents with a 20-4 mark to surpass second-place UW-Oshkosh’s 19-5 record. The Warhawks also earned the top seed for the WIAC Tournament that will be held on May 9-10 at Witter Field in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. The winner of the league event claims an automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Tournament. # # # # #

Whitewater, Wis.--University of Wisconsin-Whitewater captured the 2008 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) baseball championship with a 15-8 triumph over UW-Stevens Point at Prucha Field on May 5.
