Position
D.J. Cartledge, Senior (Greenfield), Outfielder of UW-Whitewater
In 10 games played last week, Cartledge helped UW-Whitewater to a 7-3 record
by batting 21-for-44 (.477) with 13 runs scored, 12 RBIs, five doubles, three
home runs and two triples for a .886 slugging percentage. In a 19-3 win over
Lawrence on April 29, he went four-for-four with three RBIs, two doubles and
three RBIs. In a 10-6 win over UW-Oshkosh on April 30, Cartledge went two-for-four
with a home run and two runs scored. In a four-game sweep over UW-Platteville
on May 3-4, he batted 10-for-19 with seven runs scored, two doubles, one triple,
one home run and four RBIs as the Warhawks clinched their third WIAC regular
season championship in the last four seasons.

Pitcher
Kevin Tomasiewicz, Sophomore (Sleepy Hollow, Ill./Dundee Crown), Lefthanded
Pitcher of UW-Whitewater
Tomasiewicz picked up three wins during the week to improve his overall record
to 8-0 on the season. On April 30 against UW-Oshkosh, he pitched 4.1 innings
in relief and struck out seven batters, allowing three hits and two earned runs.
Tomasiewicz then pitched a complete game six-hitter in UW-Whitewater's 8-3 win
over UW-Platteville on May 4. He struck out seven and scattered six hits, while
allowing only one earned run. Tomasiewicz also picked up the win against UW-Parkside
on April 28 in a 15-0 Warhawk victory.

Week of April 21 - 27
Position
Vince Mancuso, Senior (Wisconsin Rapids), Outfielder of UW-Oshkosh
Mancuso hit .500 (10-for-20) with 10 RBIs and seven runs scored as UW-Oshkosh
improved to 27-2 on the year by winning five of its six games played. His totals
also included three doubles, one triple, six walks, three hit by pitches and
three stolen bases. After going hitless in four at bats to open the week, Mancuso
then recorded 10 hits in his next 16 at bats, including a two-out, game-winning
two-run double in the ninth inning of UW-Oshkosh's 12-10 win over UW-Stout on
April 27. Mancuso went four-for-four in that game with five RBIs. He is now
hitting .551 (54-98) on the year with 13 home runs and 56 RBIs.

Finnegan stopped UW-Oshkosh's 17-game winning streak with a complete game 4-2
victory on April 23 in Oshkosh. He did not allow a walk and scattered seven
hits in the nine innings, while striking out one batter.

Martzahl hit .375 (6-for-16) with six RBIs, five runs scored, one double and
one home run as UW-La Crosse won three-of-four games at UW-Platteville. He had
a game-winning two-run double in the Eagles' 9-4 win over the Pioneers on April
18.

Gowey threw a complete game two-hitter in UW-Oshkosh's 21-0 seven-inning victory
over UW-Superior on April 18. He struck out 10 batters and allowed only one
walk as he faced three batters over the minimum in the contest. Gowey's performance
improved to his record to 4-0 on the season and lowered his ERA to 2.78. The
Titans raised their overall record to 22-1 (8-0 in league play) with the win.

Ryan Jones, Junior (Eau Claire/North), Firstbase of UW-Stevens Point
Jones hit .543 (19-for-35) with 21 runs scored as the Pointers won all nine
WIAC games last week. He crushed five home runs, including a pair in an 8-7
come-from-behind win over UW-Whitewater. Jones also hit a grand slam against
UW-Superior. For the week, he totaled 17 RBIs, four doubles, two stolen bases
and had 79 chances in the field without committing an error.

In UW-Whitewater's 2-1 win over UW-La Crosse in the first game of a doubleheader
on April 12, Borgardt scattered five hits in 8.0 innings pitched. He did not
give up a run and struck out seven batters while allowing just two walks. Borgardt
earned his third victory of the season and improved his league-leading ERA to
2.14 with the performance.

In six games last week, Mancuso batted nine-for-16 (.562) with two home runs,
two doubles, one triple, eight runs scored and 10 RBIs. He compiled a 1.188
slugging percentage and a .750 on-base percentage in the six contests. Mancuso
led the Titans to a 12-7 victory over No. 18 ranked UW-Whitewater with one triple,
one double, three bases on balls and three RBIs. In a 13-3 win over the Warhawks
in the second game of the doubleheader, Mancuso went two-for-three with one
run scored.

Timm pitched a complete game three-hitter in UW-Oshkosh's 13-3 win over No.
18 ranked UW-Whitewater. He struck out 10 batters, while giving up three earned
runs. Timm's performance increased his record to 3-0 on the season with a league-leading
2.45 earned run average.

In nine games during UW-Whitewater's spring trip to Florida, Schrum batted .417
(10-for-24) with three home runs, one double, nine RBIs and 11 runs scored.
He had a .568 on base percentage and an .833 slugging percentage in the nine
games. The Warhawks finished the spring trip with a 9-0 record, the most successful
trip in school history.

Brady Endl, Junior (Jefferson), Lefthanded Pitcher of UW-Whitewater
Endl threw a complete game one hitter in UW-Whitewater's 1-0 seven-inning win
over Otterbein (Ohio) in Fort Myers, Florida. He struck out six and walked three
batters in the contest. Endl pitched 10.2 innings on the spring trip with 10
strikeouts and one earned run for a 0.84 ERA.

In nine games during UW-Oshkosh's spring trip to Wichita, Kansas, Mancuso batted
21-for-33 (.636), with five home runs, two doubles, 21 runs scored and 16 RBIs.
The Titans went 8-1 on the trip with a season-opening 43-5 drubbing over Huron
University (S.D.). In that game, Mancuso went four-for-four with 6 RBIs, two
doubles and five runs scored.

Jeff Pieper, Senior (Wausau/West), Righthanded Pitcher of UW-Stevens Point
Pieper was 2-0 including a complete game win and a tie in his first three appearances
this season. He went the distance against Rose-Hulman (Ind.) on March 22, giving
up just one unearned run and seven hits while striking out five. On March 10,
Pieper threw seven innings in a 3-3 tie against St. Thomas (Minn.) in the Metrodome,
giving up six hits and striking out three. For the three games, he gave up 10
earned runs on 25 hits, struck out 10 and walked just three batters.
