Enrollment Verification

There are two important recent changes to Wisconsin Voting law that are still in effect

Your UW campus will be able to provide you an Enrollment Verification which must contain your local campus address. This Enrollment Verification qualifies as proof of residence, to allow you to register to vote in the district or ward that includes that address. According to the G.A.B., electronic documents are acceptable as proof of residence. You may use your Enrollment Verification as proof of residence to register to vote before any election, as long as that document contains your current name and address.

UW-Superior

UW-Superior students may access their E-Hive accounts to update local mailing address information and to print a copy of their Statement of Account (bill) for the current session/term at any time. This document will serve as enrollment verification for voting purposes.

UW-Eau Claire

UW-Eau Claire students can obtain a voter verification document by following instructions here:

UW Colleges

UW Colleges students who wish to receive an enrollment verification document should bring their campus ID card or other photo ID card to the Student Services Office at their campus. The Student Services office will create an enrollment verification document, which it will give directly to the student, hold for later pick up, or mail to the student’s address contained on the document. UW-Stevens Point

Current UWSP students may obtain a Voter Enrollment Verification Letter by logging on to their UWSP account. For complete information and instructions, please visit http://uwsp.edu/stuaffairs/Pages/VoterID.aspx.

UW-River Falls

To obtain an enrollment verification in order to meet the new voting requirements for Wisconsin, a student may log in to eSIS, and within the Student Center go to the bottom right side. Under "Resources" select "WI Voter Verification." After selecting "WI Voter Verification", a PDF will be generated indicating the student's campus or mailing address and enrollment status.

UW-Platteville

UW-Platteville students can print their enrollment verification form from a module in the PASS sytem.

UW-Parkside

UW-Parkside students, who wish to receive a Student Voter Enrollment and Local Address Verification Form, should go to the UW-Parkside Registrar’s Office, where this form will be printed upon request.

UW-Oshkosh

UW-Oshkosh students can update their current address with a self-serve option on the front page after logging into TitanWeb, where they can also print their UW Oshkosh voter enrollment verification.

UW-Milwaukee

UW-Milwaukee’s enrollment verification document, which is a self-service document, is available through PAWS. Students can print this document as needed.

UW-Madison

UW-Madison students can visit the following website for information on obtaining an enrollment verification document: www.uc.wisc.edu/vote/

UW-La Crosse

UW-La Crosse students can update their current address in their WINGS Student Center and also print an enrollment form which includes their current local address. The form is located in the lower right corner of the Student Center in the "Other Resources" area. Look for the 'WI Voter Verification' link. If using a mobile device to view the form, please remember to remove the pop-up blocker in your web browser settings.

UW-Whitewater

Instructions for UW-Whitewater students to access an Enrollment Verification Document for voting purposes:

Step 1. Click on WINS located at top of page on UW-Whitewater’s home page

Step 2. Sign into WINS

Accessing your UW-W Voter ID Enrollment Verification form, in WINS

Click on Self Service.
Click on Student Center.
Under the Academics section, click on My Academics.
Click on UW-W Voter ID Enrollment Verification.
Click on Voter ID Enrollment Verification.
Verify that all information is correct.
If correct, print. If information is incorrect, correct and then print.

UW-Green Bay

At UW-Green Bay, use the enrollment verification menu option in the Student Information System (on the Student Center page). Students will need to authenticate with login and password to access their SIS information. When they choose the enrollment verification (EV) option, it will walk them through steps to enter local address info if none is currently in the system, or ask them to confirm the accuracy of the information that is in the system. If they need to add/edit information, they will need to go out of the EV page and into the SIS page where address changes are completed. The address information will update in real time. They can then go back to the EV page and print the EV.
