HISTORY
The Learning Technology Development Council (LTDC) of the UW System initially conceived of Teaching with Technology Today as a means of more effectively examining and conveying how learning technologies affect and enhance teaching, learning, and research. During the spring semester of the 1996-97 academic year, UW System's Office of Learning and Information Technology (OLIT) supported a pilot project to publish a System-wide newsletter of this type. After a six-month break, the project was fully reinstated in the spring semester of 1997-98 and has continued ever since.
PROJECT GOALS

TTT's main goal is to provide an online resource that addresses educational technology use by UW System faculty, staff, and students. TTT strives to represent a broad range of disciplines, a variety of technologies and levels of technological integration, and the full range of UW System campuses.

The repository of archived TTT articles serves as a permanent record of educational technology activities and provides users with a bank of practitioners who use learning technologies in their work. New issues of TTT are published monthly during the academic year and publicized via WISLRNTEC, a UW System-wide list on technology and pedagogical issues. WISLRNTEC is also used as a channel to disseminate information about conferences, grant opportunities, and job openings. The WISLRNTEC listserve is managed by the TTT editor.

If you have other questions or care to offer a suggestion regarding this project, please forward them to Tammy Kempfert, Editor, Teaching with Technology Today.

The Teaching with Technology Today project consists of a web-based NEWSLETTER and WISLRNTEC, a companion listserv where members discuss technology, pedagogy, and student learning. TTT was conceived of by the UW Learning Technology Development Council; it receives significant support from UW-Extension's Division of Continuing Education.
