Senior Vice President
for Administration & Fiscal Affairs
Prior to beginning his tenure as Senior Vice President for Administration and Fiscal Affairs with the University of Wisconsin System in July 2013, David Miller served as UW System’s Associate Vice President of Capital Planning and Budget. Since 2003, David has been responsible for facilities planning and development across the UW's network of 26 UW campuses, managing biennial capital budgets that typically exceed $750 million. He coordinated the Board of Regents’ Capital Planning and Budget Committee, and represented UW System before the Wisconsin State Building Commission. David joined UW System in 1997, previously serving as an Assistant Vice President for University Relations for UW System, managing the University's interactions with the state’s executive and legislative offices, as well as state agencies. He served as a legislative aide and policy analyst in the Wisconsin Capitol for five years, after working in Washington, D.C., as a public school teacher. He earned his bachelor's degree from East Tennessee State University and an MBA from UW-Madison.
