CONTRACT TERM:

November 3, 2009 through December 31, 2010 with four optional one year renewals.

DESCRIPTION:

This contract provides ground courier services for UW-System Libraries so that their patrons can request and receive resources from other UW-System Libraries on a regular and timely basis. The service is provided to all twenty-six campuses, including sixty-three physical library locations statewide. The contract is pre-paid and provides 5-day (Monday through Friday) or 3-day (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) per week pick-up and delivery to the sites as needed. Options to increase frequency of stops at an additional cost are listed in the contract.

CONTRACT DETAILS:

The delivery service elements included are as follows:
· Primary delivery vehicles and back-up delivery vehicles
· Timely follow-up on delivery/sorting problems
· Delivery containers to protect library materials
· Cargo insurance
· En route sorting of materials by the driver
· Business service bond insurance coverage for drivers on UW premises
· Post-route sorting of materials at sorting facility
· Connection to every other library or agency served by contractor throughout Wisconsin
