FEE STRUCTURE:

Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates:

Professional fees for services are based on one-third of the total first year’s cash compensation with a minimum of $60,000.  Expenses are billed separately for consultant and candidate travel, advertising, background checks, and express mail.  An “Engagement Support Expense” fee of 15% of the professional fee is charged for general overhead expenses.

In the event that the placed candidate vacates the post within 12 months, other than for personal reasons such as health, Storbeck/Pimentel will assist in the conduct of another search without additional fee, billing only for direct expenses.  This policy does not apply to candidates who remain in their positions for more than one year.

Academic Search Inc.:

A comprehensive fee of $65,000 per search includes all professional service plus all long distance and local telephone charges, express and regular mail, photocopying, and courier services.  Out of pocket expenses for consultant travel (e.g., airfare, lodging, and meals), advertising costs and candidate background checks (approximately $200 per candidate) is billed monthly as incurred.

Should a candidate recruited by Academic Search and selected by the search committee and the institution’s board in accordance with the search process prescribed by Academic Search be terminated for just cause within 12 months of beginning work, Academic Search will find a suitable replacement without charge except for expenses.

Witt/Kiefer:

Retainer Fee:  One third of the first year’s total cash compensation with a minimum fee of $55,000. Once compensation has been determined at the close of the search, the total fee is adjusted and an invoice is submitted or a refund of a balance is submitted.

Expenses:  Expenses include direct, out-of-pocket expenditures (consultant travel, lodging, and related expense) incurred on the institution’s behalf, as well as administrative and support expense (printing, mail and telephone).  Allocable costs (overhead) are billed as a one –time charge of 9% of the professional fee subject to a minimum of $4,500 and a maximum of $7,000.

Other:  If for any reason other than personal, the candidate selected leaves the position in less than one year  Witt/ Kiefer will re-do the search for no additional retainer; charging only for out-of-pocket and allocated expenses.

Greenwood and Associates:

Retainer fee:  One-third of the first year’s cash compensation, with a minimum fee of $60,000 for searches billed over the first three months of assignment.  Cash compensation includes base salary, cash housing allowance and any cash bonus, but excludes any non-cash compensation such as cars, etc.  After the completion of the search, should the actual compensation differ from the initial estimate, the fee portion of the final invoice would be adjusted to reflect the actual compensation. 

Direct expenses:  Invoices would include the following expenses:  Advertising costs billed at cost, travel expenses billed at cost, background investigations (credit checks, criminal checks and degree verifications) will vary.

Indirect Expense: 10% of the professional fee.  This covers expenses such as postage, telephone, fax, communication charges, photocopying, research and report production.

Other Costs:  Express mail charges are billed to you at cost.  Additional services such as those of a private investigator to perform extensive background investigations beyond reference and background checking can be arranged but would be charged directly.

Billing:  The professional fees and Indirect expenses are billed based upon the anticipated total first year’s cash compensation for the position accrue and are billed over the first three months of the assignment.  Bills are due and payable upon presentation, and fees and expenses are not contingent upon success in placing a candidate.  Expenses will be billed monthly.

Other:  In the event that the placed candidate vacates the post within 12 months, other than for personal reasons such as health, Greenwood and Associates will assist in the conduct of another search without additional fee, billing only for direct expense.

R. H. Perry: (Tier 2 Only)

Retainer fee:  Thirty three percent of the midpoint of the approved or anticipated salary range equally billed over the first three months of assignment.

Direct expenses:  Invoices would include the following expenses:  Advertising costs billed at cost, travel expenses billed at cost and background investigations (credit checks, criminal checks and degree verifications) at cost.

Allocated Direct Expense (ADE): 9% of the professional fee.  This covers expenses such as postage, telephone, fax, communication charges, photocopying, research and report production.

Other Costs:  Additional services such as psychological assessments or home campus visits by search team can be arranged but would be charged directly.

Other:  In the event that the placed candidate vacates the post within 12 months R.H. Perry will assist in the conduct of another search without additional fee, billing only for direct expense.

EFL Associates: (Tier 2 Only)

Retainer fee:  Thirty three and one third percent of the annual assured cash compensation of the candidate equally billed over the first three months of assignment.

Direct expenses:  Invoices would include the following expenses:  Advertising costs billed at cost, travel expenses billed at cost and background investigations (credit checks, criminal checks and degree verifications by outside third parties) at cost.

Allocated Direct Expense (ADE): 9% of the professional fee.  This covers expenses such as postage, telephone, fax, communication charges, photocopying, research and report production.

Other:  In the event that the placed candidate vacates the post within 12 months EFL and Associates will assist in the conduct of another search without additional fee, billing only for direct expense

RPA, Inc.

Retainer fee:  Thirty three and one third percent of the annual assured cash compensation of the candidate equally billed over the first three months of assignment. Office overhead is included in fee.

Direct expenses:  Invoices would include the following expenses:  Advertising costs billed at cost, travel expenses billed at cost and background investigations (credit checks, criminal checks and degree verifications by outside third parties) at cost.

Other:  In the event that the placed candidate vacates the post within 12 months RPA, Inc. will assist in the conduct of another search without additional fee, billing only for direct expense.
