September 2013 – October 2013

President of the UW System Search and Screen Committee and the President of the UW System Regent Selection Committee charged by Regent President Falbo.
Video conference held for all institutions and stakeholders to share with the Search and Screen Committee thoughts on priority issues and qualities sought in a new president.
Position announcement and description finalized and announced through various venues.
President Search website launched.
Nominations and applications are invited for the next UW System President.
Search and Screen Committee works with search consultant to prepare for screening, vetting, and interviewing applicants.

November 2013 - December 2013

Applications and nominations received by Storbeck/Pimentel & Associates through its dedicated website via the search email address: uwpresident@storbeckpimentel.com.
Screening and vetting of applicants occurs.
Search and Screen Committee determines list of 10-12 prospective candidates to be interviewed at a neutral site.
Following off site interviews, Search and Screen Committee identifies five (or more) candidates as potential finalist candidates and makes its recommendation to the Regent Selection Committee.
After deliberations, Regent Selection Committee announces UW System President finalist candidates.

January 2014

Regent Selection Committee and others interview finalist candidates.
Regent Selection Committee reaches consensus on its recommendation of the next UW System President and recommends candidate to the full Board of Regents.
The Board of Regents acts on the recommendation from the Regent Selection Committee. Next UW System President named.
