Posters in the Rotunda 2008

The stage is set for this year’s fifth annual Posters in the Rotunda event on March 5, 2008, and it’s shaping up to have the most exciting line-up yet. Over 80 student participants, along with their faculty advisors, will fill the Capitol Rotunda to share their undergraduate research with legislators, state leaders, and UW alumni and supporters.

There are a number of changes to this year’s festivities, including a Legislative Symposium that will kick off the day. The Symposium participants, who include Nancy Hensel the Executive Director of the Council on Undergraduate Research in Washington, D.C, will discuss the value of undergraduate research to the UW System and Wisconsin.

Additionally, a legislative reception will be held in the afternoon for legislators and participants. The earlier timing will ensure many of the students, faculty advisors, and UW supporters can share with legislators their overwhelming support for undergraduate research and all of the UW institutions.

Posters in the Rotunda is a wonderful opportunity to learn about some of the exciting research going on through out the state and to encourage some of Wisconsin’s best and brightest. We look forward to seeing you there!
