Slings

General description

Equipment such as cranes, and hoists are used to help move materials. These types of equipment use slings to hold their suspended loads. Slings include:

  • Alloy Steel Chain Slings
  • Wire Rope Slings
  • Metal Mesh Slings
  • Natural and Synthetic Fiber Rope Slings
  • Synthetic Web Slings
  • Synthetic Round Slings

It is critical that the slings perform their function effectively. The OSHA safety requirements for slings are designed to protect people who work with, or in the area of, this equipment.
