Fire: UW-Madison Medical Sciences building

A three-alarm fire that started on 4th floor of the Medical Sciences building brought units from throughout the city to the UW-Madison campus, with the fire reported being knocked down at 8:42 a.m.
The building was evacuated. No injuries were reported. Firefighters received the initial alarm shortly after 8 a.m., and two hours later were still at the scene checking for hotspots and attempting to ventilate smoke out of the building.
