Carnegie Academy for the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (CASTL)
A major initiative of The Carnegie Foundation, CASTL seeks to support the development of a scholarship of teaching and learning that:

  • Fosters significant, long-lasting learning for all students
  • Enhances the practice and profession of teaching
  • Brings to faculty members' work as teachers the recognition and reward afforded to other forms of scholarly work.

EDUCAUSE: Transforming Education Through Information Technologies
The association for managing and using information resources in higher education. Information on their annual conference, professional development workshops, job posting service, and issues related to managing and using information resources.

The Collaboration for the Advancement of College Teaching & Learning
An alliance of public, private, and tribal colleges that supports and promotes outstanding college teaching. Among the programs and services. The Collaboration offers are twice-yearly conferences, traveling workshops, Department chairs workshops, faculty development program evaluations, and various publications.

POD Network
The Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education (POD) fosters human development in higher education through faculty, instructional, and organizational development by: providing support and services for its members through publications, conferences, consulting, and networking; offering services and resources to others interested in faculty development; and fulfilling an advocacy role, nationally, seeking to inform and persuade educational leaders of the value of faculty, instructional, and organizational development in institutions of higher education.

National Resource Center for The First-Year Experience and Students in Transition
Supports and advance efforts to improve student learning and transitions into and through higher education.
