Gail Bergman |
Gail Bergman joined the University of Wisconsin System Office of Policy Analysis and Research in 1989. Prior to that time, she worked for ten years as a programmer/analyst in Administrative Computing at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Both positions have given her a firm background in issues and data surrounding students who apply to, enroll in, and transfer into and between UW institutions.
Her initial job in OPAR was as part of the team that developed the Transfer Information System (TIS). She continues to be involved with transfer issues and assist with TIS coordination. She has served as the OPAR's Student Data Coordinator for over ten years. Currently, as OPAR Director, Gail coordinates staff projects and assists the Associate Vice President in a variety of areas.
She is involved with the UW System Admissions and Registrars groups and the Transfer Coordination Group. She is a member of WACRAO (Wisconsin Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers) and AACRAO (American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers) and has done numerous presentations at annual conferences. She is currently a member of the UW System Student Information System Executive Committee.
Gail earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from UW-Stevens Point and a master of science in teaching mathematics from UW-Eau Claire.
