About the Presentation
Jakob Iversen is an associate professor of information systems at UW Oshkosh's College of Business. He has been interested in the promise of social technologies for a number of years and have incorporated wikis in his courses since 2006. He believes it is possible to improve student learning by careful application of appropriate technologies in and out of the classroom.
Nancy Chick is an Associate Professor of English at UW-Barron County in Rice Lake. She teaches traditional F2F courses, as well as both hybrid and online courses. (She's been teaching online since 1996, when she created her own online classrooms by writing her own HTML code for each page and using MOO suites for the synchronous class meetings.) Her use of wikis in the classroom in recent years has been built on her longtime interest in researching and developing effective online pedagogies.
