Workplace Expectations and Code of Ethics
Every UW System employee makes a personal commitment to maintain professional honesty and integrity, to seek knowledge and to share that knowledge freely with others, and to adhere to expectations regarding conduct in the university setting. Such commitment is essential for UW institutions to perform their proper function in our society and to ensure continued confidence from the people of Wisconsin in the UW System and its personnel.
There are several policies which address this issue:
- Code of Ethics provides guidance on avoiding conflicts between employees’ personal interests and their public responsibilities.
- Classified Employees Work Rules outlines general expectations for employee conduct in the workplace.
- Conduct on University Lands provides further information on workplace expectations.
