Wisconsin Economic Summit II Participants Include Governor,
Lt. Governor, Members of Congress, State Legislators

MADISON -- Among the participants at Wisconsin Economic Summit II on Nov. 26-27 at the Midwest Express Center in Milwaukee will be a number of senior elected officials.

Governor Scott McCallum will address the summit on Monday evening following a 5:30 reception. In his remarks, he is expected to touch on some key aspects of his economic strategy for Wisconsin. Tuesday morning at 8:00, Lt. Governor Margaret Farrow will also speak during the plenary session.

Following Farrow's remarks, a panel presentation will focus on "A Federal Perspective on Boosting Wisconsin's Economy." Featured speakers will be Rep. Tom Barrett of Milwaukee and Rep. Mark Green of Green Bay. Moderator for the session will be former Congressman Steve Gunderson.

On Tuesday afternoon at 3:15, a panel presentation will address "The Role of Government in Building the New Economy." Featured speakers will be Rep. Scott Jensen of Waukesha, Assembly Speaker; Sen. Chuck Chvala of Madison, Senate Majority Leader; Rep. Spencer Black of Madison, Assembly Minority Leader; and Sen. Mary Panzer of West Bend, Senate Minority Leader.

Other elected officials among the more than 775 people who have registered so far to attend the summit are: Sen. Alberta Darling of River Hills, Sen. Mary Lazich of New Berlin, Sen. Carol Roessler of Oshkosh, Rep. Julie Lassa of Plover, Rep. John Lehman of Racine, and Rep. John Townsend of Fond du Lac.
