UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN SYSTEM BOARD OF REGENTS
TO MEET APRIL 6-7 AT PYLE CENTER, 702 LANGDON STREET, MADISON
Includes Joint Meeting with Wisconsin Technical College System
MADISON - The University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents will hold its next regular meeting Thursday and Friday, April 6-7 at the Pyle Center, UW-Extension conference facility, on the UW-Madison campus, 702 Langdon Street. Highlighting the agenda is a joint meeting between the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents and the Wisconsin Technical College System Board. New agreements relating to transfer of credits between the WTCS and UW System will be announced. Other agenda highlights are outlined below.

Annual report on UW System's precollege programs, recruitment, and retention plans for multicultural and economically disadvantaged students.
Annual report on UW institutions' orientation programs and information provided to students on sexual assault and sexual harassment.
3:30 p.m. Joint meeting of the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents and the Wisconsin Technical College System Board, Rm. 325/326 Pyle Center
Announcement will be made of new agreements to advance the ease of transfer between the Wisconsin Technical College System and the University of Wisconsin System.

9:30 a.m. Board of Regents meeting, Room 325/326 Pyle Center
Discussion on graduation rates and time to degree for students in the UW System. Senior Vice President David J. Ward will present statistics and comparisons on these rates.
Report on UW System efficiences in instruction, student support and administration. UW System continues to focus more resources on instruction and use a substantially lower proportion of the UW System budget for administrative costs than 18 peer university systems.
Closed Session to consider appointment of a new Chancellor for the University of Wisconsin-Extension.
