If you elected the Variable during 2000, then changed your mind,

You can withdraw your election by filing with ETF by January 2, 2001

Use “Request to Void pre-1/1/2001 Election to Participate in the Variable Trust Fund,” form ET-2357

This is a one-time exception to the general rule that elections and cancellations, once filed, cannot be withdrawn.
