UW TSA Investment Returns as of 12/31/09
This is a list of the investment products that are authorized for UW employees under the TSA program. It is neither an offer to sell nor a solicitation to buy an investment product or security. Except as otherwise noted, the data contained in this report have been provided by the participating companies based on 12/31/09 information.
Insurance company returns are reported first followed by mutual fund companies. Funds not in existence for at least one year do not list returns.
Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of this report. The UW cannot guarantee complete accuracy and assumes no responsibility for the accuracy of the information supplied by the companies or financial losses incurred by employees participating in the TSA Program.
Investment Choices
The TSA Program offers Fixed Annuities, Variable Annuities and Mutual Funds. Annuities are insurance contracts purchased from one of the insurance company vendors. Fixed annuities pay interest at or above a guaranteed rate. Variable annuities do not have a guaranteed return: through the insurance company, you invest in a stock or bond fund similar to a mutual fund. Your return depends on the performance of the investments.
In a mutual fund, your money is pooled with that of other investors and is managed by an investment manager. Mutual funds invest in a variety of different types of stocks and bonds according to their investment objectives. Your return depends on the performance of the investments.
Except for fixed annuities, your TSA investments are not guaranteed. You could lose money. When selecting investments, consider spreading your money among different kinds of assets. Some funds such as target retirement date funds and asset allocation funds are already diversified. Remember, past performance is no guarantee of future results.
