Commuter Benefits Program - University of Wisconsin System Employee Benefits
Commuter Benefits ProgramThe State of Wisconsin introduces the Commuter Benefits Program — a tax-free program designed to save you valuable time and money on your commuting costs. University employees (including LTEs) can participate in this pre-tax Commuter Benefits Program. Spouses and dependents are not eligible. If you already have your parking or vanpool expenses deducted pre-tax from your paycheck, you do not need to sign up for this benefit. You are already enjoying a tax-free benefit, unless you chose to waive participation. You can save on the cost of public transit passes and parking fees in parking ramps or private lots by having money deducted from your paycheck before taxes are collected. You may choose to have your transit passes delivered to your home or work or you may choose to have your parking paid directly to the provider. Take advantage of this benefit by simply making a one-time election or you may update your election each month online. Elections must be made by the 10th of the month for the following month. Enroll online! Visit the Department of Employee Trust Funds Internet site for program details. You may also email Fringe Benefits Management Company (FBMC) Customer Service at webcustomerservice@fbmc-benefits.com or call FBMC Customer Service at 1-800-342-8017 for more information.
