Employee Benefits
Dental Insurance
There are several dental insurance options available to you as a UW System employee. You must enroll in these plans when first eligible (usually within the first 30 days of employment) or during an open enrollment period (no guarantee of an annual open enrollment under any plan). If you have other dental coverage and you lose eligibility for the other dental coverage or the employer contribution, if any, to the other coverage ends you may submit an application to your payroll/benefits within 30 days of the event to enroll in Dental Wisconsin.
-
Most State Group Health Insurance plans include some coverage for routine dental procedures. Coverage levels and provider requirements vary by plan. See the 2013 It's Your Choice Decision Guide for more information about the dental benefits provided by your health plan.
- Dental Wisconsin is a stand-alone dental plan that offers two different coverage levels(Select or PPO) depending on your dental needs.
-
The EPIC Benefits+ Plan provides dental, as well as a hospital/surgical benefit and vision benefits beyond what is provided by your State Group Health Insurance plan. It also provides an accidental death and dismemberment benefit. You may see any dentist under this plan.
