Composition of the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System

Full Description

(Murtha).  Under current law, 14 citizen members serve on the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System.  This bill requires the appointment to the Board of at least one citizen member who resides in each of the Wisconsin’s congressional districts.

NEUTRAL.  The Legislature and the Governor should have the prerogative to determine the appointment process and membership of the Board of Regents.
