UW System Position
SUPPORT: The Rock County Engineering Initiative was part of the package approved by the Regents for inclusion in the 2005-07 biennial budget. The initiative proposes a joint engineering program between UW-Rock County and UW-Platteville to meet a specific need for additional engineering expertise in the Rock County region. Local business and industry may benefit from the new program, similar to how the Fox Valley is benefiting from the joint UW-Fox Valley/UW-Platteville engineering program.
