(Hundertmark) Expands the nursing student loan program to include nurse educators.

UW System Position
SUPPORT: While we support the inclusion of master's degree nurses and nurse educators in this program, we are concerned that the amount of funding appropriated ($450,000) for existing program will not address the shortage of nurses and nurse educators.
The current program serves 242 nursing students from all sectors and provides an average award of $1,568.
Expanding the program further, without additional funding, would further erode the amount of money available for each student and diminish the attractiveness of the program.
