M. Paige Reed, Senior System Legal Counsel, joined UW System’s Office of General Counsel in January 2010. Prior to coming to the University of Wisconsin, Paige served as an Associate General Counsel at Southern Illinois University (SIU). Her area of expertise included labor and employment, student affairs, academic affairs, campus security, transactions, diversity and compliance issues, and preventive law training. Prior to working for SIU, Paige was the City Attorney for the City of Carbondale, Illinois. She has 15 years of combined legal experience in government operations, labor and employment matters, and higher education. She received her B.S. degree in Administration of Justice from Southern Illinois University and her J.D. degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law. Paige is a member of the Illinois and Wisconsin bars.
