| 9/96 | Discussion at the UW System Controllers' Conference of changes needed to current business processes. Volunteers solicited to work on identifying a vision and serve as the Best Business Practices Team for Financial Systems. | |
| 11/97 | Best Business Practices Team for Financial Systems recommends implementation of a Shared Financial System. | |
| 1/98 | Chancellors, controllers and IBRs give approval for project to proceed. | |
| 3/98 | Implementation scope defined. Contract signed with PeopleSoft. | |
| 6/98 | Peoplesoft Version 6.0 installed. | |
| 9/98 | Peoplesoft Version 7.0 installed. | |
| 12/98 | Prototype and Set-up completed. | |
| 1/99 | GL, AP, and PO tested. | |
| 2/99 | On-line demonstrations given to UW Staff.
Phase 2 Core Team established. |
