9/96 Discussion at the UW System Controllers' Conference of changes needed to current business processes. Volunteers solicited to work on identifying a vision and serve as the Best Business Practices Team for Financial Systems.
11/97 Best Business Practices Team for Financial Systems recommends implementation of a Shared Financial System.
1/98 Chancellors, controllers and IBRs give approval for project to proceed.
3/98 Implementation scope defined. Contract signed with PeopleSoft.
6/98 Peoplesoft Version 6.0 installed.
9/98 Peoplesoft Version 7.0 installed.
12/98 Prototype and Set-up completed.
1/99 GL, AP, and PO tested.
2/99 On-line demonstrations given to UW Staff.
Phase 2 Core Team established.
3-4/99 Integrations and interfaces tested.
6/99 Phase 1 campuses will go live with GL, PO, and AP.
