CLOSED SESSION RESOLUTION
Upon convening in open session, the following resolution was moved by Vice President Spector, seconded by Regent Wingad, and adopted on a roll-call vote, with Regents Bartell, Crain, Danae Davis, Stan Davis, Drew, Evers, Falbo, Loftus, Pruitt, Smith, Spector, Vásquez, Wingad and Womack voting in the affirmative. There were no dissenting votes or abstentions.
Resolution 9917: That the Board of Regents move into closed session to consider appointment of a UW-Milwaukee chancellor, as permitted by s. 19.85(1)(c), Wis. Stats.

CLOSED SESSION
During the closed session, the following resolution was adopted unanimously by all Regents present:
Authorization to Appoint UW-Milwaukee Chancellor
Resolution 9918: That, upon recommendation of the President of the University of Wisconsin System, Michael R. Lovell be appointed Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, effective May 3, 2011, at a salary of $330,203.
