EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
Minutes of the Meeting
Friday, July 21, 2000

Held by telephone conference.
Regent participants: Regent Smith, Regent Barry, Regent Brandes, Regent Gottschalk,
Regent Marcovich, and Regent Randall
Not participating: None
The meeting was called to order at 1:00 p.m., at which time it was moved by Regent Smith and seconded by Regent Barry that the Executive Committee recess into closed session, as permitted by s.19.85(1)(c), Wis. Stats., to consider appointment of a Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The motion was adopted on a roll-call vote, with Regent Smith, Regent Barry, Regent Brandes, Regent Gottschalk, and Regent Marcovich voting in the affirmative. Regent Randall joined the conference after the vote was taken.
The following resolution was adopted by the Executive Committee:
UW-Oshkosh:
Authorization to Appoint Chancellor
Resolution 8194: That, upon recommendation of the Special Regent Committee and the President of the University of Wisconsin System, Richard H. Wells be appointed Chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, effective October 1, 2000, at an annual salary of $145,000.
The meeting was adjourned at 1:30 p.m., upon motion by Regent Randall, seconded by Regent Gottschalk.
